FFS GH we need more midfielders about as much as Nick Clegg needs more critics. A striker a goalscorer a poacher a forward a finisher. Swap 50% of the club's midfielders for 1 or 2 of them.

He's better than any of our other midfield options and he is clearly chasing multiple targets, just happens the Makoun deal is the second one to be completed.

It's a good signing.

Figueroa and Rodallega would be a good joint signing too.

I'd look at getting Westwood in from Coventry, best keeper in the championship or maybe Al Habsi who Bolton will probably sell.

Or even give Guzan a run of games.

We desperately need a quality midfielder in the mould of Makoun. We need a striker, but in addition to not instead of a midfielder.

GH clearly doesn't fancy Guzan.  I can see Peterbro's upset if we have offered GBP500K for a player they paid GBP600K & have since got into the England reckoning.

i disagree with you there dude, one of the reasons we're leaking so many goals is the fact the defence isn't getting much, if any protection from our light weight midfield

If we can bag the two from wigan too that would be a good transfer window IMO. Yeah a striker is needed but at the moment, if we can get the midfield rocking, that will allow Ash and Downing to concentrate on what they do best... Getting forward and supplying gabby and co with some titalizing goal potential action. Gabby will come good
