Did you have a chance to speak to him?

He was on his mobile 90% of the time, and looked a really pissed off James Collins, so no, I left him to himself.

Anybody see what that inbred looking, shit kicking son of a bitch Blackpool manager has said about our club? (albeit an interpretation from 'the sun').

Villa View: Charlie Adam interest confirmed but Barton move a rumour

Jan 10 2011 By Mat Kendrick

Aston Villa correspondent Mat Kendrick has the latest on Gerard Houllier's transfer targets.

The club confirmed their interest in Blackpool's Charlie Adam but denied any move for Newcastle United's Joey Barton.

Wasn't hard to guess but the sun have exaggerated Holloway's comments, we are too small for Adam!

Cast your minds back to when Randy took over, and to all the 'proud history, bright future' propaganda and think how you would have felt if someone had said to you 'In 4 years time you'll loan a right back off Tottenham who are now in the Champions League by the way, you're after a chubby bloke from Blackpool for £2.5m who has played half a season in the Premier League and is being chased by Blues and other relegation threatened teams, and you won't pay £7m for Makoun (allegedly), oh and you're 18th'. I'd have thought old deadly was back!

"It's important to keep working with him to achieve one of his ultimate goals, which is to play for one of the top four or five, or even six, clubs. -Ian Holloway.

Correct me if im wrong, but havent we finished top 6 for the last 3 seasons? The sun are a bunch of shit eaters!

I agree that we look a shower of shit at the moment but if we sign Makoum, Adam, Samba, a good striker, and have Walker, Bridge and Cummings onloan till the end of the season it will have been a good month. Unlikely mind.

This is what gets me about modern football journalism: it's all so short-sighted and fickle.  Despite our current position in the league I would argue that we are undoubtedly "one of the top four or five, or even six, clubs..." The Sun is just cockney rubbish.

I think Holloway is runnign scared. I would not be surprised if Adam puts in a trasnfer request shortly. I like Holloway and he is trying to defend his club here.

I think if we want him, we will get him and if we have put a bid in then it suggest to me we will ahve already had word he would be interested in signing. In today's world clubs only put bids in once they know the players is interested.

If Blackpool don't go down this year, then they will next season. Adam's will know the score and get out now.

That's even if Holloways stays.

If Coyle moves on at Bolton for example, they'd be after Holloway (at a guess).

I don't think there's too much wrong with what Holloway has said, he's just trying to do what's best for his club. Blackpool are not in a position financially to accept the first offer that comes along. They'll want to get as much as they can and fair play to them.

As for the player himself, i've not seen that much of him.
