I remember the days where ash used to beat a man on the wing and put wonderful crosses in for our forwards to convert into the onion bag .........aghast those were the days

Know what you mean , we haven't seen that since yesterday.

In fairness that's a bit hard now with him playing central.

Personally, I think he's better on the wing and that's where I'd play him!

Man U linked with 30mill bid for Ash and Clark!

Even if there's no truth in it, it should act as a wake-up call for those who think that relegation will be not be the end of the world since our younger players will storm the Championship.

As I said on another thread, should the worst happen, the vultures will be circling to pick up the likes of Clark and Albrighton. And with a multi-million pound Sky-shaped hole in our budget, we'd have difficulty resisting.

I would like to think we would resist for a season at least.

Omar Cummings has not been given a deal yet - surely if he is half decent we should sort the loan so he is in the squad against Blues next week. Faster than Gabby by the sounds of it, and happy to play on either wing or up front, with good feet. Useful to have in the squad that, and if he is good in games we should get it sorted. Fee of 2 million if he is successful has been mooted, which is small, and the sort of deals we should be looking at to bolster the squad.

My thought is there are none so blind as those that cannot see
Whilst you're dead right that people who cannot see are, on the whole,  pretty blind, they're not as blind as those who will not see :-)

Would take £20m for Ash tommorow. He is becoming less and less effective for us. He was terrible yesterday ........

I dont agree with that mate. He let us down by stupidly being sent off, but his play was good in general...we will miss him when he's gone...he works his bollocks off...his attitude is questionable regarding petulance, but I have met him and he loves the Villa, feels we gave him a massive chance and no way will he move from here.

Sell Young? Do some of our fans actually want us to be relegated??

Unbelievable!

Yes, I truly believe some of them do, it will make their ranting look almost profound.

I think the point of selling Young is to reinvest immediately in a class proven goalscorer, a strong midfielder and a LB. If we didn't byt these types of players, then selling Young would be suicide! He's going in the summer anyway. So do we think he will save us from relegation, or will 3 players we buy with his transfer money be better for us?
