You'd have to be stupid to overvalue ireland so much as a makeweight in a deal for one of your best players.

A player like Agger wouldn't be coming to us for a relegation battle.

His stock is high enough that he would have far more attractive options. I'd expect to see him at a Valencia/Villareal/Hamburg/Palermo.

Linking up with Kjaer at Wolfsburg wouldn't be a bad shout either.

Think he needs to get this done and dusted. This along with Kyle Walker and posssibly Bridge could start to turn things around. Where is a striker going to come from seems to be the big question

Agger is a pipe dream, will never happen. Too good and if available won't come to us.

Makoun, just pay the money and sort it, GH needs a proper general in the middle.

Striker - why not Lord Frodsham? I know he was awful at Liverpool, but he has a great scoring record overall and would give us a striker with movement and a bit of flair.
