Really gutted that spurs are so much more high profile being in London that they can even attract Beckham. Plus they have champions league football to offer him .......

Beckham is past his best. He will be on the bench most of the time so I wouldnt get to despondant about it.

ASTON VILLA are planning a cash-plus-player offer for Blackburn's want-away skipper Chris Samba.
Villa manager Gerard Houllier is prepared to let centre-half Curtis Davies, now on loan at Leicester, move the other way as well as topping up the bid with about £5million.

Davies, 25, fell out of favour at Villa Park when Martin O'Neill was boss and was farmed out after he failed to convince new chief Houllier to give him another go in the side.

Samba revealed exclusively in The Sun that he wanted to leave Rovers after former boss Sam Allardyce was sacked by the club's new owners.

Although he demanded a transfer, an uneasy truce has since been declared.

The media's most over-hyped player finally joins the media's most over-hyped club. It was inevitable really. The media wankfest for this will be unbearable, but I don't think he'll add that much to them.

Couldn't agree more, they were made for each other. Beckham embodies Spurs perfectly. Let them enjoy it because I don't think they will win anything this season and will struggle to hold onto Bale and possibly Van Der Vaart come the summer. Without those two, they are really nothing special, though they appear to be on the surface given how poor the standard of teams is currenly in the prem and in Europe...still, reckon also that Redknapp may end up in the England job.....

According to that Nico bloke on 't Rovers forum we're signing Romeu.

Not the one from So Solid Crew unfortunately, the reserve Barcelona midfielder.

Never heard of him before TBH.

Meant to be the fallback option, with the deal for Fofana going south. Was meant to be flying in yesterday for talks.

A promising youngster isn't really what we need at the moment though to be honest. A loan, for the rest of the season presumably, doesn't sound like a lot of use. It's going to take a youngster from Europe longer than that to get up tp speed I'd have thought.

Badly injured just this week according to our learned colleagues on VT so I don't think so, out for 3 or 4 months apparently...
