Sidwell has completed his move to West Ham

Sky Sports are saying that although Sidders has completed the medical, no contract has been signed. They say that other Prem clubs have expressed an interest and Steve wants to explore his options.

Liverpool wants Mertesacker but has to get rid of Agger first. I do rate Agger plus on Mertesacker..

Sidwell has completed his move to West Ham
Good.
He was about as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike.
In similar vein, I always referred to him as "as much use as a chocolate teapot".

What else was Sidwell as useful as? Tits on a fish? A condom machine in the Vatican? Get your suggestions in now folks!

Wasn't Woodgate 19 when arrested, is it possible he might have changed and grown up eleven years later?

He's the best English centre half in the country when fit, its a shame that those days are so few and far between.

He and Bowyer and some other white mates chased and beat up an Asian kid for being er...Asian. Not for being just another kid where fights can happen at that age because of male bravado. Do you think racism is something that you can just grow out of? Or is it always in you even if as you grow older it just becomes dormant because society tells you that you won't get ahead if you keep acting that way?

I've just had a quick scan I cant see any evidence offered at the trial that the attack was racially motivated or that those convicted ever faced the 'racially aggrivated' versions of the charges.

But in answer to your question, yes of course I think people can change.

it depends on what anyone decides to believe, or what version is stated as the official story. The plantiff stated the following:

Quote
Sarfraz, whose leg, nose and cheekbone were broken during an assault by five men in January last year, disputed trial judge Mr Justice Henriques's ruling that racism had nothing to do with it.

Moments before a chase involving the student, his friends and a group of white men outside the Majestyk nightclub in Leeds, one of the whites said: 'Do you want some, Paki?'. 'I took that as meaning, "Do you want a fight",' Sarfraz tells tonight's BBC Panorama programme. 'I just thought they're racist scum, so I just ignored them because there were too many of them and I'm not a trouble-causer.'

The motives for the attack were never proven categorically in the end, and it may just have been a case of wrong place, wrong time. I would hope that people could change. But if it was racially motivated in any way, it's not the same as calling someone a "paki". Taking it beyond the next level, you've got to be pretty twisted. Bowyer and Woodgate both had previous incidents of violence to their name growing up, so this isn't isolated. Might just be the one that got them the most grief and attention due to their public status.

In any case, I wouldn't want him, Bowyer or Barton wearing a Villa shirt ever.

Sidwell hasn't gone anywhere.

He's got 2 others offers he's considering.

Wolves & WBA my guess.

If I could choose one gettable player in January, it would be N'Zogbia. He's looked brilliant the last few weeks.

I think if he was committed and motivated he could be every bit as good as Bale in a wing back capacity. The thing is when he is hot he's incredible, and when he's not he's sulking or complaining about something.

Yes please. Potential for nuttery though, maybe send Ireland their way on loan as part of the deal.

Potential for nuttery is right, I don't think he was given a fair crack of the whip at Newcastle but he'd probably want some silly wages, I like the swapsy deal with Ireland.

Didn't Blues agree a £10 million fee with Wigan for N'Zogbia? £10 million seems a bit steep for someone who's probably going to start moaning about wanting to leave after a season.

They did, he agreed wages and everything but then at the last minute he demanded they double his wages to approx £60,000pw and Blues did the right thing and told him to do one...........He is trouble, u only have to look at his sending off and no way is he worth £60,000 pw
