I'd agree with your Macheda comment shrek. If he comes in and scores the goals that keep us up then great.

If he plays ahead of the Fonz, I wonder what affect it will have on his confidence.

I'd rather have Delfouneso coming off the bench than Macheda.

By a long way.

I don't agree that he is half the player Delfouneso is, however I do not like Macheda's attitude, he goes around at United like he has made it, I think he would see Villa as below him and expect to come and be central to everything which he wouldn't be.

Blimey. That's a statement!

I reckon Macheda will turn out to be a better player that Fonz.

I would definitely prefer Delfouneso to Macheda. I doubt there's anything in that link at all however.
It makes absolutely no sense at all.
Delfouneso is better and so is Weimann who will be back soon.
If we get another young striker he'd have to be amazing or why bother?

having watched delfouneso for years and seeing his progression from youth to first team (and remembering that he is still only 19 years old, despite being around the first team for 3 years), i am more than confident that he is a far better footballer than macheda...

the only thing that will stop delfouneso becoming excellent, would be an attitude problem...

I'm with you Villa1 on this. If Macheda is not half the player that Delfouneso is, I need a trip to Specsavers in the New Year...

Aston Villa and Newcastle go head-to-head for £7m-rated PSG winger Stephane Sessegnon

By Sportsmail Reporter Last updated at 10:52 AM on 2nd January 2011

The 26-year-old right winger is contracted until 2013 but wants to quit after a bust-up with his manager.
The Benin international is valued at £7million but both Villa and Newcastle are confident of securing a knockdown price.

Sessegnon revealed last month that it was 'impossible' for him to stay at PSG after being insulted by boss Antoine Kombouare. He claims Kombouare swore at him in training.

Sessegnon said: 'The coach insulted me. I believe that a coach cannot call one of his players 'a******' or call him 'a s*** player' as was the case with me.
'That is what he said to me, I am not going to cover up what he said

Don't know much about him, but he's very quick and skilful, but possibly a bit of a loose cannon. Maybe someone who follows Ligue 1 could comment. Here are some highlights. He could take Carew's 10 shirt should he sign

Or full blown footballing stupidity.

I won't get on his back, as you say, he's just a kid, but Jesus.

Could you expand on this please?
What do you mean by saying Jesus and are you saying Fonz is stupid?

Macheda scored those two goals against us, then swaggered around Utd like a mini-me version of Ronaldo. I think he's too arrogant. I'm also quite sure his development has halted somewhat because he's not working hard enough. In the past two years, had he really work his balls off, Fergie would have played him more. But, he hit a few headlines and thought he was a superstar.

Fonzie any day of the week for me. Macheda's gifted, and an excellent finisher, but he just fancies himself far too much. Fonzies attitude has been questioned, but Macheda would be far worse. I also think, he'd believe he was too good for us.

If the real Richard Dunne is back and he and Ged have let bygones be bygones we can cut a new Centre half of our list.
