Fully agree Dunne cannot go to Wolves
Carew cannot go to Albion
& no more players to Small Heath, without Gardner & Ridgwell they'd already be down

For all that Carew has let us down recently (however you would be pissed off and still smarting if you'd been swapped for Milan Baros) I cannot help but think it is total folly to contemplate selling him given he has been our top (that's right our top) scorer for the past 3 seasons.  When we are about as effective up front as Saddam was to democracy why on earth sell him.  It can only mean one thing. Djibril Cisse is on a flight over from Greece.

You can't help but ponder on whether Carew would have been a different player this season but for Houllier.

Carew was looking disinterested much of last season, has never really ever looked fit in his whole time here despite the goals, and generally since the Ajax night has been sulking.

Yet Heskey is a different and much better player under him.  Granted that's not an even trade given his injuries.

Think that ship sailed a long time ago.

The writing was on the wall for Carew ages ago - he stopped bothering to even try last season, not just when Houllier arrived.

I dont really want players who dont want to earn their huge pay if they dont see eye to eye with a particular manager.
I mean, what about professionalism and wanting to to do well for the supporters who idolise them?

Carew is a piss taker who has never made anything like the most of his ability and nw we're seeing the end of another chapter in his many journeys. He should be one of the best strikers in the league or even Europe but he's got better things to do.
I thank him for some good memories and when he was good he was very very good. But too much horrid to get misty eyed and now we need strong characters. Unfortunately, he's just strong.

My brother said a couple of years back that Carew always looks like he's walking in high heels.

I would offer Wolves Collins and Dunne in exchange for Jarvis tbh.

Imho Warnock was not out of position for Spuds 1st goal, Downing was ball watching. It was Hutton who crossed the ball, and Warnock was marking Lennon. All this debate would be unnecessary if Collins would have stopped on his bloody feet.

Not sure AYoung can play in this free role, and for me N'Zogbia would be an improvement.Still like Jarvis as well.

So then we would have hardly any central defenders and a new third choice winger.

Yep. Unfortunately too many of our fans can't see past the fact that it came down our left so it must automatically be Warnock's fault.

Anyway, i've hijacked this thread enough on this subject.

Macheda wants a move, preferably a loan, apparently.

Worth a look?
