Its not Bendtners fault somebody else got in his way though is it?
And he's not absolute top class or we wouldnt be talking about him as Arsenal would be keeping him.
But he's a natural finisher, big and strong with a fair bit of nous. We could really use a player like that right now.

Okay, I won't crucify the lad for that incident alone, and at least he's got the brass studs to big up his own ability, but in a team like Arsenal's he ought to have scored probably double what he has done with the chances they create. I just don't think he'd thrive in a team that's not as creative (ie us) and that's what puts me off.

I think he's worth a try and he is a realistic target given our recent form.

What would Bendtners price be though? We need to see if it represents good value with what we could get from abroad. One advantage of signing him being that he should hit the ground running.

Think Bentner would work well with Gabby and getting a run in a team would give him confidence ...........

Just watching match of the day, N'Zogbia looks like the Ash of 2 years ago, direct, Fast and effective. Then the knob got sent off.

That Rodellaga looks sharp aswell, but both players look like they have an ego, so would Houllier have them?

some old news report from July on Forfana
.

The France U19 international is regarded by many as the future of French football and he is being watched by Arsenal and Chelsea scouts at this month's European Championships.

Fofana also counts Barcelona among his admirers and Le Havre know they face a battle to hold onto their young jewel.

If Ash went. N'Zogbia would be just the ticket, and seriously weaken Wigan too!!

Lee Chung-Yeung would be another good shout in terms of a new wide option.

N'Zogbia and Bendtner to back up Fofarna and Wheater would be nice.

Aston Villa remain locked in talks with Olympique Lyon for midfielder Jean Makoun II.

Villa have already had one offer rejected this month for the 27 year-old Cameroon international, but talks have continued over his transfer.

Lyon would prefer to sell Makoun only after they have found a replacement midfield signing.

Jean-Michel Aulas, the Lyon president, has left the door open to Villa to make a new offer for Makoun in the coming days.
