RSC too, but a big question mark over his injury record.

SWP I wouldn't touch with a bargepole.

Madonna is trying to sign SWP.

Given, but that's it.

I don't think he's the answer anyway as I'm sure we could get a younger, better keeper for less money and less wages.

I'd still take Micah Richards if he's on offer.

celtic linked to a loan deal for Dunne and Ireland. They can do one. Cash only.

I'd take Bridge off their hands.  He wouldn't be my first-choice left back but he's better than what we've currently got.

We've already enough big wages on the payroll do we really want to match city's wages on players such as Given and Bridge or are you expecting them to take a pay cut?!!!

If we get Fofana it could be quite a coup for us.  This lad is very, very highly rated on a European level.  This is what makes me want to give Houllier a fighting chance; the contacts he has, the knowledge of football that he has could be very beneficial for Villa...if we just stick with him!

Given - definitely
Lescott - yes
Bridge - wouldn't mind
Richards - as above
Swp - Not required
Rsc -no, too injury prone

Linked with Bendtner today too. Not sure whether the suggestion is a loan or permanent deal.

Commentator at the City game said there would be many players leaving them in January, who might they may be and who would we want?

Given, Bridge, SWP, RSC, Adebayor will all be on the move in January. Lescott will stay as cover I'd say unless they can get someone in.

Given is better than Friedel but there are better out there I feel. No to team Bridge- that man gave up his career a long time ago, SWP no way - another one that has frauded a living at the highest level, RSC and Adebayor are one season wonders. Adebayor perhaps on a heavily incetivised loan. Can't imagine Houlliers man management style having much impact with him though.

Krancjar, Pienaar, Bendtner, Corluka, Samba all available too in the EPL

Fofana is the kind of player we should be signing, and expect from GH.

If GH stops then i expect some more Fofana kind of signings, and to be honest would be very good for us.

Betdner?........advocated him 2/3 yrs ago, but another Carew?Prefer the guy from Espanyol tbh.

Has anyone seen Fofana play? If so, what should we expect? Is he ready to go straight into the team or own for the future?

I hope he signs if for no other reason than when I read his name it makes me sing Psycho Killer, Qu'est-ce que c'est Fofanafafafafafa.
