I'd go for Tuncay over Keane.

I know Tuncay can't get in the Stoke team but if there was ever a case of a player not fitting into their style of play it's him.

Similar player to Keane but younger and probably cheaper.

Stoke will only want 5m so offer 2m + Curtis Davies who's been linked to them in the past.

In the summer, I'd break the bank for Rodallega. I think he could turn into a fantastic striker.

Re Keane:

It's hard to shake the notion that he's on a downward spiral, I've said as much beforehand   and the clubs linked with his signature bear that out.

But:

If he goes to the B-lose you just know he'll score against us, and any other goals he gets for them or another struggling side could impact on our season the way things are going.

As much as he wouldn't be a long term answer, if he came in for the remainder of the season and scored 5-6 goals in our colours it would possibly be a worthwhile short term solution.

Long term we'd need far better, but lets get this complete arse of a season out of the way first and ensure we're still in the division. For all the bright play of some of our wingers and midfielders at times this year we've struggled to score goals.

How do we get him in for the short term though unless it is a loan deal and I do not see Harry doing us any favours unless it helps him get more for him in the summer.

If we sign him it will be on a fat 3-4 year contract we end up in the same position as with Ireland etc.

Short term deal doesn't necessarily need to be a loan.

If the price is reasonable enough bring him in on say, a two year contract.
The main focus being the rest of this season obv, but keeping him as back-up for the next campaign.

He'd still most likely see more game time with us than he would with Tottingham and -you never know- get a good manager in in the summer and he might actually be involved in a successful campaign next year. You'd say there is more chance of that with us than there is with perennial strugglers such as B-lose, West Ham and co.

if we start buying players out of fear of what they could do for our rivals if we don't then we are really in deep deep shite

The manager has already stated Young will not be sold in January so I don't know why we keep discussing it. I don't believe GH will have any interest in Keane, the only reason you would buy him is if you firmly believed we were in danger of being relegated which not many of us do. We have some very winnable games coming up lets see where we are at the end of February.

The trouble is Keane will want a 3 to 4 year contract unless it is 2 years on a massive salary to compensate.

I just get a feeling that Keane knows he has lost his edge and will be looking for one last pay day or sit out his contract.  Either that or he must be a great club man as he does not appear to be kicking up a fuss about not playing.

The olny winnable home game I see is Fulham at home on the 5th Feb.

All the others I can see as draws or loses.

Would still prefer Vagner Love over all three. He's great in the second striker role, dropping deep, running with the ball, dribbling and creating chances! Would partner Gabby or Nathan well IMO.
Should be available and gettable.

Seems a strange move but i guess as perhaps a back-up to a bigger signing its makes some sense if say carew is off. I hope he's not our main forward target in January though

Our prayers are answered.

He's very quick and strong. Yes, yes, he play in MLS which isn't the same, but as Dave said neither he or the club have anything to lose by this. He did really well playing as a lone striker for much of last year. Even if it's on loan and he can have anything like the impact Donovan had for Everton it will be well worth while.

If he's back up to an established striker signing, fine.

If he is our established striker signing, not fine.
