No thanks to Samba.

We can hopefully will be shopping at a higher level than him.

We always say this and then we sign Wheater.

Samba is a much better centre half, I'd be amazed with Dunney preparing to leave if we're not in for him.

If the Wiedenfeller and Wheater rumours are true that would back up the rumour that Houllier won't have big money to spend until the Summer.

I'm not sure it would reveal really anything about how much we do or don't have to spend. I think if he makes some astute signings, isn't that ultimately good business? Spending big in January is dangerous, and most prices are inflated anyway. I don't think he needs to be too elaborate, just have a net increase in the number of players, with some unhappy players leaving and some current players coming back from injuries. I think we'll be in good shape.

Why would it? If there's big money you don't have to spend it all on one or two players. There must be bargains to be had. With, hopefully, a decent scouting system now installed maybe we'll get some of them.

Whether Weidenfuller and Wheater would be bargains, no idea.

I think Wheater is a lot like Shawcross. Big, strong, the right age, and seemingly a good attitude. If he replaces Dunne as well as Davies leaving, I'd be more than happy with Cuellar, Collins, Wheater and Clark as our CB options.

I'd imagine with Wheater's contract expiring in the summer he might be 2-3 mil. That would be good business. No idea about the keeper but we need to plan ahead. He might be on a free.

It's all about wages, GH is getting rid of players MON payed well over the odds for and is restucturing as any business will do from time to time. We have all shook our heads at the ridiculous amounts some very average players are getting at Villa. Help me out here, i'm struggling to find a player that Villa wanted out that turned his career around and we regretted selling. We are the half way house it seems if we sell you you aint much good.

Why sell Curtis Davies and bring Wheater in for the same money? This is reminding me of the GT2 reign. No player with an ounce of ambition will come to us if Wheater is the kind of player we will sell Davies and Dunne to bring in.

Those two slimy turds at West Ham are beyond belief. Give the manager three games to save his job - then sell his best player from under him. The player who definitely wasn't for sale. That player.

When did they sell Parker?

No thanks to Bentley. Big time Charlie.

I'd take Parker off West Haaaam though.

Because attitude is a major component of success in any walk of life. Dunne and Davies represent the past and are bitter at change and rejection. Wheater would look at this as a massive opportunity to push on in his career. If you can get him for net return of 3 or 4 mil given the sale of the other two, then it's a deal worth making.

Why on earth would we sell Davies and buy Weater?

Davies is better, I've seen Davies perform well next to a solid partner like Laursen, Weater is at his level now.

Total waste of money if true.

And Samba is only 26 but he has never stood out too me so I don't know.
