I wouldn't deal with Celtic at all after that banner.
Which, I might add, they can shove up their fucking arses.

They can have Ireland for £8m and they can pay him all his wages too.
We're not subsidising some poxy sweaty sectarian shithouse club.

I always quite admired Celtic until that.

We do get our knickers in a twist over unsubstantiated gossip. Every agent worth his salt will be touting all the unwanted players our way, we are one of the few clubs desperate to buy. If Ireland is on 65.000 then Man City is probably paying some of it.

Why would they be paying any of it?

He's not their player.

Ireland was on 90K a week at Man City, he took a pay cut and had a lump sum payout from City, like what Richard Dunne had.

Now Ashley Young is out for a month, we really have got to get three or four players in January. We cannot rely on the young kids any longer ........

in other news, according to some bollocks website called imscouting.com, Man City is going to bid for Iniesta. Apparently he's ready to switch addresses from beautiful Barcelona to the cold and damp North West of England and play for those money grabbing bastards. Thus no longer wanting to play alongside Xavi, Messi, Villa etc  at the quite probably the most attractive, dominant and consistent club side in world football today. He'll probably convince those other 3 to join him in January too.

He is currently a part of perhaps the best club side of all time.  It would take puke inducing amounts of money to get him or any of that team.

I think even poorly paid premiership footballers get vomit-inducing amounts of money.

Footballers. Not even good ones. Players who's name you'd struggle to remember if you had a gun to your head. Earning in the millions. Not doctors. Not brilliant engineers. Not award winning scientists. Just some knob who kicks a fucking ball. Millions.

It just doesn't make any fucking sense.

I can't imagine any amount of money will make Iniesta join Man City. Or those other 3 for that matter. Barcelona have got so much going for them right now that it is conceivable that by the end of their time together, they may be considered the greatest club side in European football history.

edit: I do agree with you however on all of the points you made.

Stephen Ireland has revealed that he could return to international football with Ireland to help him get a move away from Aston Villa.

The 24-year-old midfielder, who has endured a disappointing campaign at Villa Park since joining as part of the deal which took James Milner to Manchester City, is set to look for a move out of the club in January after failing to hold down a regular place in boss Gerard Houllier's plans.
And Ireland feels a return to playing with the Republic of Ireland could help him attract some interest from other clubs.
Ireland, who has not played for his country since 2007 after lying about the death of his grandmother to get out of playing an international when his girlfriend had really suffered a miscarriage, said: "I am seriously thinking of calling Trap [Ireland coach Giovanni Trapattoni] in the next few weeks and hopefully I can work my way back into his plans."
"If I can't get a move in January then I need to look at the summer and playing for Ireland will at least put me in the shop window."
