Kalinic and Santa Cruz fit that bill, Santa Cruz will be on too much and he's a little too old and Kalinic hasn't done enough to warrant a big move yet, IMO.

Dani Guiza is someone I wanted us to look at a while ago but he's 30 now.

But I'd prefer us to look for the next Berbatov than the next Peter Crouch.

Celtic hope to receive clearance to pursue a six-month loan deal for unsettled Aston Villa star Stephen Ireland within the next 48 hours.As Sportsmail revealed 10 days ago, manager Neil Lennon wants to add star quality to his midfield by luring the Republic of Ireland international north. Last week, Lennon watched the player make a rare start in Villa's 3-0 defeat to Liverpool following an unsatisfactory summer switch from Manchester City.

The success of Celtic's pursuit will be dictated by a meeting between Ireland's agents and Villa owner Randy Lerner on Thursday. Lerner will be asked to foot half of Ireland's £68,000-a-week wage before sanctioning a move to Glasgow.

The BBC Gossip column have reported that Man City want to buy Iniesta for £85m.  Good luck with that...  Muppets.

The site also has this about Onuoha:
"Defender Nedum Onuoha is ready to quit Manchester City and join Sunderland for £6m where he is enjoying a successful loan spell."

I thought he had joined Sunderland permanently.  I'd have him for £6m.  A long term replacement for Young.

Someone who has steadily improved over the last few years for club and country is Hugo Almeida from Werder Bremen and Portugal. Would be a good replacement for Carew. He's also takes a mean freekick, has a left foot that makes Tommy Hitz look like he has rickets! He's out of contract in the summer as well.
