I'd prefer taking a risk on Piquionne than buying a tired old has-been like Keane.
Piquionne is older than Keane

You're quite right, I had no idea he was 31, he looks quite young.

Maybe he's one of those African 31's and it's even worse he's 48 or something. I bet Yakubu's in his 40's.
Kanu, Yakubu and that bloke who was at Newcastle, have always had suspect official ages.
The only thing that can be confirmed is that they used to go out on the piss with Adam in the garden of Eden.

Obafemi Martins is meant to be 26. I'm sure he was 26 when we were linked with him a few years back.

Plays in Russia now. Cold will wreak havoc with his arthritis.

He'll have a job finding any lemon curd or Battenburg cake in Russia.

Was it Obefami Martins that played in the same Nigerian Youth team as Celestine Babayaro?

That will be 26 year old Martins compared to 32 year old Babayaro.

I understand (though I don't think they've actually ever met) that VillaSubmariner is distantly related to him.

Some may wonder who on Earth would want to come and play for us now?  We are a sinking ship with the worst to come and when our best player leaves we'll be even less attractive.

Then again Piquionne plays for West Ham who we may just finish above so that may be a possibilty.  I wouldn't want him though.  Any chance of a good player anytime soon?  One we could get excited about?  No, thought not.  Oh well, at least Delph's return will gie us a boost, that'll be like a new signing.

That'd be 3 top 6 finishes, 6 straight wins over the Blues, 3 successive forays into Europe and 2 trips to Wembley MON?

I'd much rather lose to Blues and be 15th in the Prem with no chance any of the above happening.......err..

Not sure if this has been posed before on here but how much resistance will Houllier face when trying to sign players purely because they'll know (from their agent) that 'player x' earns a shitload more than what is being offered?

Yes, Houllier can always tout that 'player x' is on his way out the door but, let's face it, off-loading a player on massive wages to a club that will cut those wages in half, will be easier said than done and may take more than one transfer window.
