I'd quite like a Scottish goalkeeper please.

What's the definition of a Scottish goalkeeper? Someone who shows the opposition where to shoot.

I think I've fcuked that joke up.

It's a myth you can't sign anyone decent in January, Spurs regularly sign players that improve them in the second half of the season and Man. City got Adam Johnson last January.

Plus we were restricted under the previous manager to domestic deals, I expect a foreign signing over the next six months.

Don't watch as much euro football as before so can't suggest many names but I'd say domestically names that would improve us would be

Allan McGregor
Ryan Shawcross
Nedum Onouha
Nathaniel Clyne
Hugo Rodallega
Tuncay

Ashley Young's done a half-decent job for us over the years as well.

And Carew until he outstayed his welcome this season.

Just watching that nutty Welsh euro football show and after shedding a few pounds, Artur Boruc is in superb form for Forientina so wondering what's happened to Sebastian Frey. Wonder if we could get him in on loan maybe?

I might be imagining it but I'm sure I heard someone say that GH has a habit of getting his deals done early and not dithering around. Wouldn't surprise me if the irons are in the fire already and hopefully we will see some new faces in early doors come January! Hoping for a defensive midfielder and a striker. As discussed M'Vila would be a great shout, whether Rennes would part company with their season going so well is another matter. Was thinking that we could maybe look at getting a striker from a Russian team, as their season has finished now and doesn't start again until March, maybe someone like our old favourite Vagner-Love, had another good season, 11 goals from 17 games for Moscow after coming back from his loan at Flemengo in August.

Just spotted that on BBC. Why they report stuff that, even from its name, sounds like a wind-up site, I'll never understand.

Sweet Jesus no.

Though I think that paper also mentioned that we're still in for Bentley, so I assume they haven't updated the speculation tray since July.

We need a player like Keane, not sure it should be Keane.

He might even be available on loan for the rest of the season, Moscow loaned him to Flemengo from January to August last year, he then played August to November back at CSKA. I think he could well bring out the best in Stephen Ireland too, like Robinho did at Citeh.

...........................Friedel

Young.........Collins.....Clark..........Warnock

..................M'Vila........Delph

.......Young........Ireland......V-Love

.......................Agbonlahor

Plenty of pace, skill and guile in that team. Would see us well until the summer overhaul.

Really wouldn't want that busted flush has-been anywhere near us.
