I'd imagine thats Juninho Pernambucano, the lad who played at Lyon until last season. Free kick specialist. 35 mind? Houllier+Lyon= Bollocks Transfer story!

Not to be confused with Juninho Paulista though, the one with the smoggie accent!

In january: buy a striker (in europe not england). or Benzema on loan (wishfull thinking)
With all the comment made on Ireland, i would give him time to get an effort out off the pitch untill the summer, if by then he didn't impress or made a decent impact ( witch i think i surely can), then sell him as well.

End current season: Try to sell: Cuellar & Beye, Carew or Heskey + Salifou/Sidwell/Osbourne.
Get in: Richards, Shay Given (replacement for Friedel). A young skillfull midfielder ( prefer DMC ), and a striker.

Wheater will cost about a million as his contract has 6 months to run. As such I would have him over the 12 million you would have to spend on Shawcross. I think for that sort of money it is a decent buy, clearly GH is not a big fan of Cuellar who I fear will be off (and not shocked if Arsenal had a look you know) in Jan for a decent fee. I can see the sense in Wheater.

I think before the start of next season a keeper and 2 full back will have been brought in too, plus a new holding midfielder to make us more solid. And then a striker. GH is known to like to change a squad around to suit himself so I expect and look forward to some big changes.

One thing we do not bloody need is a centre back.

Houllier isn't stupid and knows this.

When everyone is fit we have a good squad, we just need a goalscorer.

I like Carlos, but I would be absolutely stunned if Arsenal went in for him. He can trap the ball further than most players can kick it. Don't see him fitting into their set up at all.

I could see him going to Germany as was mooted last week or possibly one of the lesser Spanish clubs.
