Totally disagree. For the right fee i think he would be great addition.

I agree. The right fee would be about £10m.

From Man United.

He's not good enough to get in our current midfield (well, our potential uninjured midfield anyway) so considering that it something we need to improve on anyway, I don't see where he fits in.

Never over-impressed me when i have seen him tbh.

  £10m, no way.

Let NRC and Sidwell go, then maybe he would be a slight improvement on them as a stand in.

I like him, he's another Fletcher, doesn't grab headlines but always available for a pass and moves the ball accurately and quickly.

Never been that impressed with him to be honest. If he cant dislodge Glen Whelan , Keith Andrews and Paul Green in the Republic of Ireland midfield I dont see how he could improve ours. He's a squad player at the best and not one who would be pushing for a start in the first team.

From the express and star rumour mill
VILLA

Villa’s search for a spearhead striker has put them onto the trail of £8million-rated Juventus striker Amauri.

He will have trouble dislodging those 3 as they play for the Republic of Ireland and he is NORTHERN IRISH

I'd rather stick with our promising crop of midfielders than buy one. If its in the mirror its go to be bs anyway. We need GH to find the latest man mountain French/African DM.

Because the country in which you were born isn't the be all and end all, and he chose to play for the Republic.

It matters not, he's not good enough anyway.

This.

Gibson would just about be a squad player for us.

I know Fletcher was a relatively late developer, and I don't want to come across as overly confrontational here, but I have no idea how you've come to this conclusion.
