Cisse is very hit and miss and quite limited.

And from what I've seen the likes of Hourau and Gignac in the French league are not of the quality we need, so hoping GH stays clear of them.

His record everywhere but England is superb. He's obviously not Thierry Henry, but I still think with a bit of luck and the right coaching he could easily have been a Louis Saha.

Probably a bit too old for us now anyway.

Klose on loan for the rest of the year and get rid of Carew.
A long term replacement in the summer once we know whether The Fonz is good enough.

If we did cash in on Ashley Young, I would have a good go at getting Matt Jarvis from Wolves. He is absolutely flying this season.
Kightly at Wolves was also superb, before his injury.
Be interesting to see what he's like when he get's back to fitness.
Finished according to my Wolves supporting boss.

Great shame, I thought he looked a really decent player.

Agreed. He was a player I thought we'd go for under MON, before his injury.

Kalinic is a really good player, actually. Slaven Bilic went so far as to call him "the future of Croatian football", which, though hyperbole, is some praise. He deserves a better outlet for his talents than Allardyce's vomit-worthy football.
I agree about Kalinic - an instinctive player whose movement is really good - but his record to date has been unimpressive.

To be honest look at Elmander at Bolton. He isn't that suited to the hoof ball. Once Coyle got there and they actually try and pass the ball he's done a lot better. Especially away from home.

I think Kalinic would have a much better record playing for a team that tries to play half decent football. Unlike Blackburn.

Your mention of Klose reminds me that one of the best strikers in Germany last season was the lad who moved to Bayern from Hamburg (he scored at least once against us in the Euro Vase). He looks class.

Ellmander reminds me of Geoff Horsfield.
You need glasses then Chris.
Holds the ball up superbly, bullies defenders, good in the air and works hard.
