Both Kalinic and Klasnic are both quality and underrated strikers... two possible slim options.

I really can't wait to see what Houllier is going to do with our midfield though... can you imagine Flamini, Delph and Coker in midfield? OMG I think I might pass out if we had that as our midfield.

If you've got Flamini I'm not sure what the point is of having Coker and Delph alongside, it wouldn't be creative enough. I'd replace Coker with Bannan or Ireland in that midfield, myself.

I think if we had Delph, NRC with Ireland, Young and Downing/Albrighton it would work.

That could (although I'd pick Bannan ahead of Ireland on form right now), but in The Situation's magic fantasy world where we've signed Flamini, the player he would replace would definitely be NRC.

If we did cash in on Ashley Young, I would have a good go at getting Matt Jarvis from Wolves. He is absolutely flying this season.

Kightly at Wolves was also superb, before his injury.
Be interesting to see what he's like when he get's back to fitness.

True, but when Flamini played for Arsenal he didn't just sit deep and tear it up in midfield, he got involved plenty in Arsenal's attack and I remember he scored a good goal against us a few seasons ago. Yes, he is classed as a 'defensive midfielder' but he likes bombing foward too. Coker is a box-to-box midfielder and Delph is an attacking midfielder... I don't know though, Houllier would go with what he thinks works best, but either way, if we did sign Flamini it'd be nice to have all the great options to have playing with him in midfield. Coker, Delph, Flamini or Delph, Flamini, Ireland... either way both look good although I'd like to see Ireland in the team too.

Just seen that Kranjcar says he will want out at spuds if he's not playing regulary. That's another good option for us I suppose. Although he's not a defensive midfielder, he'd be a good player to have I think.

I think Jarvis is a fantastic player, think they got him and Kightly for a combined 250k

Has Flamini worked his way into the Milan team yet?

Kalinic isn't even getting in the Blackburn team at the minute, I don't see the fuss about him.

I think GH will get a striker in from abroad in the January window. Tbh his record at Liverpool with foreign strikers wasn't very good, Baros, Diouf and Cisse all made minimal impact under him.

One I would suggest if Young leaves in the summer and Wolves go down is Jarvis who's looked fantastic in recent weeks against top opposition aswell.

I still think we'll be in for the british types, the likes of Jarvis, Shawcross, Dorrans etc. Maybe with an N'Zogbia thrown in aswell.

Yeah, central midfield is long term the area where we'll have the most rebuilding under GH so I'm looking forward to how he develops that area with Petrov coming to the end, NRC out of contract at the end of rhe season and Delph when he comes back still unproven at this level.

I'd take a punt at Tuncay in January tbh, maybe a straight swop with Davies at say 4m.

Although he never had the opportunity with Cissé who he signed just before he left the club.

I still think there's a good player in Cissé who with the right system and style would be very useful.

Not that he showed that either at Liverpool or Sunderland mind.
