I used to be soclsull but my ex-girlfriend stole my log in details and changed my details after she read the 'My Dilemma' thread I started in GMs. It was all about her.

I thought that we have our 25 (well, 23) man squad to see us through until January and then we get to submit another one.

If he can't play until January, we might as well just wait until January and buy someone better.

is the window shut for out of contract transfers?

no sure what the dates are, or if there is a window for these...

i know that free transfers can be registered anytime if the squad quota isnt filled, and ours isnt...

but if the window is shut, then fair point, and i rescind my comment...

I'm not sure - it could be that we could fill the spaces if they're available.

I'd guess if we could then there would be more rumours linking us with free agent strikers.

FFS, we're not going anywhere with these types of "tried and failed" players.
We have to look to IMPROVE what we've currenlty got; not replace mediocrity with middle-of-the-roaders.
Whilst I'm no expert in the foreign legion, I'd expect GH to have a number of Europe-based players lined up to come in.

We've enough trouble with Carew and Heskey's ailing bodies, without signing Michael bloody Owen, who I believe is currently out of action with...yep, you guessed it...an injury!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I do find it odd that some people are pleased with the Owen link,when was the last time he had a good healthy run of form,3 or 4 years ago?

 And the fact that he played well with Heskey 10 years ago isn't something to get excited about now,its a bit like saying Mick and Keith are gonna write some really good songs in the next year or two.

Apart from the obvious striking shortage, what we really need in January is a 'orrible, 'ard bugger in central midfield. If we can't find the next Roy Keane, I'd settle for the next Robbie Savage

Work rate wise I don't think I have seen many better forwards than Elmander. Does not score enough though.
