According to one of the papers yday, LLorentes asking price is £30m.

Hope we go for the Hendersons of this world.Would go for N'Zogbia if Asley goes, pref even if he does'nt go.

Very impressed with Onohua on Sat as our new RB, and would go for Dorrans from Boggies as replacement for Petrov/NRC/Sidwell.

Still would'nt be over disappointed with Doyle either.
£30m is his buy-out clause. But I'd be surprised if they accepted any less than that for him.

As for Dorrans, he can't even get in the West Brom team at the moment. And wouldn't be a replacement for NRC or Petrov as he is an attacking midfielder.

And Doyle would be both unnecessary and pointless.

I think Houllier will get fairly sizeable backing.

I have a feeling you might be right Maz! I just hope he wants to get on and spend it!

After watching Porto tonight I would love to see Radamel Falcao upfront for us, would cost a small fortune, but the guy is absolute mustard! Jorge Fucile would also be a great addition, great fullback and can play both sides too!

So far my New Year/Summer wish list is:

GK: Samir Handanovic (Udinese)
FB: Jorge Fucile (Porto)
DF: Mamadou Sakho (PSG)
DM: Étienne Capoue (Toulouse)
AM: Eden Hazard (Lille)
FW: Radamel Falcao (Porto)

Go get 'em Gerrard!!

Agent: Muntari keen on January Premier League return

Sport.co.uk understands Inter Milan midfielder Sulley Muntari will quit the San Siro in January with talks scheduled between the player’s representatives and the Nerazzurri.

Aston Villa, Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Everton are the Premier League clubs who have registered interest in the former Portsmouth midfielder, however the player’s chief representative Frank Schreier did stress that there is interest from Spain, but the Premier League is the Ghanaian’s preferred destination.

Muntari, 26, moved to Portsmouth in 2007 for a fee of £7 million and was signed by current Spurs boss Harry Redknapp, who is thought to have the edge in the race to sign the powerful midfielder.

Schreier told Sport.co.uk in an exclusive interview: “It could be that he will leave in the January transfer window, we have to arrange a meeting in the next few days in Milan to discuss his future, and then we will know the conditions of a transfer.

“There has been contact from the Premier League, but also in Spain. But for Sulley a return to England and the Premier League is definitely a possibility. I will not speak directly about the clubs involved, but it is the ones who have followed him previously.”

It is thought Muntari would command a fee in the region of £8 million , although a short term loan move is also a possibility. Muntari helped Il Serpente secure a historic treble under former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho, which included a Champions League triumph against Bayern Munich.

He'd be an excellent buy. He'd really strengthen the middle of the park.

Yeah, Muntari would do nicely.

I expext wages to be a bigger issue than the £8m fee.

Fucile was excellent at the World Cup and judging by all acounts we certainly missed a trick when not signing Falcao who we were linked with when he was at River, although it's debatable whether he would have settled in as well.

Edit. Not sure what happened there!

Remember being linked to Falcao, but also remember thinking no chance MON would even be looking. He only cost Porto £4m!

Yep it would have been a bit of a risk but £4m is nothing these days and if it didn't work out we would have recouped most if not all our money by selling him on.

That's certainly the type of player we should be looking at and imo is the way forward rather than spending huge sums on superstars ( who are unlikely to want to come to us) we should be looking at players that would bust a gut to come to Villa as we're a huge draw still for plenty of players that could improve us. This policy is not without it's problems and your probably prone to picking up a few duds along the way but we need to take a few chances in the transfer market.

Llorente £30 million? hahahaha. They've got to be joking.

Muntari would be a great signing if we could get him. Him and Coker in the middle would be boss.

Well I imagine that Houllier will cast a wider eye when looking for new recruits and hopefully he'll have a say/influence on the intake of youth talent and their upbringing. I know we're not likely to suddenly set up the new Clairefontaine, but if GH still has contacts who scout at the grassroots level of French football, then maybe we may see some exciting talent coming our way.

I think the problem we have as a club in this country is any players coming from outside ther EU will have to have played a vast percentage of international matches before they will be considered for a work permit. By which time they would be intertesting big clubs all over europe and inevitably we'll end up missing out!

Dorrans , is and will be a good player.

He is an attacking midfielder, but i believe he can be a Milner kind of player who can play either deep, or attacking.

Regarding Doyle, i just think he is in our pricerange.Yes i like the look of the French guy at PSG, and Falcao, but i think they might be a bit out of our range atm.

Please, no more Doyle suggestions. We need a goalscorer and he is not a goalscorer.
For a support striker role we have Young and Ireland who are dramatically better.

Muntari, Diarra, that's more like it.
Both of them, plus a striker please. We'd be significantly better.
I know that's a bit greedy but sod it, it's what we need.

Doyle? I'd rather have Kevin Phillips back.

I fail to see what Doyle would give us and can't understand why folk keep putting his name forward. We could do with  "fox in the box" type finisher to convert the chances we create.
