C/H at Blackburn....don't know his name.

Phil Jones... Wouldn't be surprised at all if he ends up at top four club inside a year.

I'd like Carroll. Every time he got the ball against us it looked like something was going to happen. Let's start taking chances like on youngsters - like Spurs do.

Mind you we made Carroll look like Miroslav Klose that day. He's promising though

Let's be honest, on that day something would have happened if we'd have found Paul O'Grady on the ball.

Carroll is your typical meat and potatoes old school CF - save for the occasional crap haircut.

Was quite impressed with him in the Championship.

It's a world apart doing well there and in the Prem though. Some pretty ordinary forwards have looked good in that league, Chopra, Ebanks Blake, Healy to name but a few.

But if he scores around 15 goals this season, menaces Prem defenders the same way he did Championship ones and Newcastle struggle, I'd definitely take a punt.

It's next season that will be the making/breaking of him.

Marcus Stewart, Dave Kitson, Michael Ricketts are just 3 examples of players who scored goals for fun in their first full season in the Prem, and then faded to nothing.
The four goals that Dave Kitson scored in his first full season in the Premier League isn't that impressive.

I thought Kitson got a shit load for Reading in his first season - or was that Doyle?

Thought Coleman was very good indeed for Blackpool when out on loan last year. Really caught the eye...

I was impressed with him when he came on against us. He's mustard.

Doyle got about ten in his first season, Kitson got about ten in his second.

Got the defence into a right pickle.

Obviously bollocks, but I like the line about linking us to De Gea he looks fantastic when I've seen him.

Cisse in for Carew might be an option. We can't afford the both of them on our books, far too mercurial. But perhaps if Carew can't hit the form he showed last season again, it'll be time to move him on. Hate saying it because I really like the guy.

Gago I'd be more than happy with. We could do with a really quality and solid central midfielder.

I watched Atletico last weekend and he was very impressive, the bloke who's place he took (Asenjo?) looked good last season as well but not sure what has happened to him?

Spain have certainly got a lot of good keepers to choose from.

Where have we been linked with De Gea?

There is a throw away line in the throw away article that says we will miss out on him as ManU want him.
