I don't know, he looks an one season wonder to me. He is this season's Sidwell. Not worth £3m, let alone £8m.

He looked a class above last season in the championship and has continued to look quality in premier league, so I think he would be a good buy!

Liam Lawrence looked a class above in the championship the other season. Graham Dorrens looked a class above last season, but Adam has shown that he can make the step up so far. I'd take the gamble on him at £5mil maximum.

As did Sidwell. This is a very good comparison. He may be worth a gamble but not at anything more then £4m - £5m.

I'd rather we pushed for actually selling one or two of the outsiders rather than loaning them out. Warnock's form may have dipped but if no-one's willing to buy him (and he's under 30, still in the England frame so we should be asking for £5m) he's worth more to us on the bench in case Clark's out for any reason. Only loan him if a new LB comes in.

Carew? Time to sell, but it's a tough one because I wouldn't to see him at a club anywhere near us in the table; not WBA, West Ham, or Fulham. Who else would want him? Sunderland? Best all round would be a cut price move to QPR...

I wouldn't go over £4m for Adam. Doubt anyone else will. So we can revisit that in the summer, when he has just a year left on his contract, and turn the screw on Blackpool...

You might be right, and the player himself may start getting twitchy too.

Without Adam, I still think we'd okay for creativity in midfield - until the summer, anyway. With the system we have tended to play, not sure how much creativity we need from our CMs; basically we have two with Albrighton, Young, Downing in front, all creative, flair players, and one CF - now Bent. We need those two CMs to be strong, to win the ball, to start moves off. The bits I've seen of Makoun, that's his game, perhaps offers a bit more going forward too. We know Petrov can do a decent job, Reo-Coker certainly the hard work. I think Delph can do it all.

I'd like Adam but now we have Makoun in, don't think it's a disaster if we don't sign him now.

For 8 million theyre must be better players out there. I'd be suprised if Makoun is the only player to come in from France.

Also i think its asking too much to expect alot from Delph this season after his injuries. If he can get a few games under his belt,and then kick on for next season.

David wheater has joined Bolton for £1.5m- decent signing at that price.

Liverpool should pay cash for warnock rather than loan him- they know the player they are getting, why should we loan a player to a half arsed club who used to be famous!
