He has been appointed OUR manager we must all get behind him and give him the chance he deserves.

He'll get the chance from me, even though I voted pas, or non, or no or something.

Pleased with the appointment (think he'll do a decent short term job) but not happy he's missing Stoke.

On the fence for me.  Record on paper is very good, but his Liverpool side never did all that much for me (too reliant on Gerrard and Owen) and came across as a bit up his own arse in some of his post match interviews.

pmk, if you started this thread to make yourself look like an idiot, you have succeeded sir. "on the fence" indeed. And your arbitrary dislike of the French makes your vitriol against Houllier's appointment all the clearer.

This bloke was going into Bromford Bridge racecourse (ask your grandfather) and as he walked down Gravelly Hill a gust of wind blew his hat off and it was run over by a bus.   "Blimey" said the bloke "that must be an omen.   Lady Luck is trying to tell me a horse to back".   He backed six straight losers and came back through the exit without even his bus fare home.   He related the story of the omen to the gateman.   "Every race I looked for some connection with my hat.   Then in the last race I put everything on the odds on favourite Raindrops because with no hat the raindrops would fall on my head."   "And did it win?" asked the gateman.   "Nah," the punter replied, "some bloody 100-1 shot called Mon Chapeau."
