General, we seem to have acquired a pet Blues fan if you fancy coming to play!

General

Well done on the pricing this evening. It was very good to see almost 35,000 there to play a championship side. Plenty of families with young kids toting cameras, and obvious first timers at the match tonight.

What paulie said General.  The pricing for tonight's game certainly worked and it was an excellent turnout.

General, could we reduce the price for every game to £10?  *smiley, jokey*

Oh, and another thing.

Went for a drink at half time, and noticed one counter in the Upper Trinity seemed to have a single massive pump which gushed - BP style -  a seemingly endless stream of lager under which staff were sticking pint glasses and selling lots of beer in a short period of time.

These big mega pumps are the way forward.

General, when a game goes into extra time like tonight, is it not worth opening the refreshment stands again? Leaving the ground I saw plenty of people at the burger vans outside the ground and can't help thinking maybe that some of that money could have been going into the clubs coffers?

Then you'd have to pay the staff to hang around, just in case the match went to extra time. I can't imagine that making financial sense.

General K,

Well done to the club for the ticket pricing for last night's game. So many families there and I only wish we were in a position to price every game like this. Half term obviously helped though.

I saw a picture of Randy at the game - is his health ok as he seems to have lost more weight?

Finally will you both be in attendance for Sunday?

Hi General.
Is anything - ever - going to be done about our Tannoy system at VP? It has been rubbish for years - I gave up bothering to listen to it years ago.
Even when we go to so called lesser clubs' grounds we can hear what the announcements are.
Lower Holte has just been a muffle for years.

With regard to the kit - has a shelf life been decided on it yet? As it stands at the moment I won't be buying a new top which will be out of date in May - not at the full price anyway - I love to buy a new one each season but it seems we are getting a raw deal here.
Keep up the good work.

General - I took my 7 year old to his first night game last night which he really enjoyed - although he does seem happier to meet Hercules than anything else !! - Can I add my weight to the ticket pricing thanks but also say that he went to the free open training session on Monday as well and has a good Villa week and great to see so many kids at both.

General,

a team pretending to be the Cleveland Browns today won away to the reigning SuperBowl champions.

What's Randy done with the real Browns? ;-)

What's he done? Spent our summer transfer budget that's what.

But we're all in this together though.

A fair few staff were on the same bus into town after the game so i'm guessing they were all still in the ground. And considering the very high profit margin the club make on refreshments, i'm sure that would more than compensate an hours extra wages?

General Krulak here:

1.  IrreverentAd:  You raise the $64 question.  At the end of the day, I think that the escalating wages will be harmful to the sport...and may well cause some sort of salary cap or similar device to be instituted.  Simply put, wages may well take the ability to attend a game out of the hands of the very Fans who have made this such a great sport.  This would be a nightmare.  I do not think this is an issue that can be solved by the Clubs themselves but probably needs intervention by the League.  Do I worry about skyrocketing wages...absolutely.  I would venture to say that I am not the only Director of a Club that has the same concerns.

2.  Bosco81:  No one is trying to hide the price of the shirt...but adding the VAT would have an impact on those purchasing the kit outside the UK.  We basically feel that those Fans buying a kit in the UK are fully aware of the VAT.

3.  Fuse:  Randy is fine.  We spent the day together last Friday and he was in good health and good spirits.  He has lost weight over the past 6 months but he did so on purpose...getting down to fighting weight.  We discussed many things and his attitude was extremely positive.  He feels we are really moving in the right direction from a macro viewpoint and his passion for the Club is as high as I have seen it....which made me very happy.

4.  cambsvilla:  We continue to work on the tannoy system but will not do a major overhaul until we work on the North Stand.  The kit:  No decision on shelf life at this time...it is still being debated.

5.  peterw:  Why would you write something like that?  Why would you make a comment that 1) you have no idea what you are talking about and 2) is totally inaccurate.  You do the Fans a real injustice when you post a comment like that.  Simply put, Randy is committed to supporting our Manager and our Club...he has done so before and he will continue to do so.    You do not help the situation by posting a snide comment that has ZERO basis in truth.

General.
Please tell Randy he'd be better off at Costco.
