General I wouldn't dream of telling you how to run a business or for that matter telling GH how to choose his coaching staff. I simply wish to use this forum to bring to your attention that, in my opinion, both Mr Southgate and Mr Staunton have treated Aston Villa Football Club without the respect that it deserves and would therefore be left with little alternative than to request a refund on my families season tickets should either gentleman be invited to return to my football club. This the club that they have both expressed previously to not be good enough for them.

Wishing GH the very best of luck; I commend you on a very brave appointment.

Eddie.

How ridiculous.  We'd be furious if we thought the board was trying to select new players or the team for a saturday.  The same should go for the managers back up staff.

Furthermore, there are lots of views about Staunton & Southgate and not all are in line with yours.  Some of us (maybe with a bit more perspective) realise that both gave us excellent service over a number of years.  Neither did a 'Steve Hodge' on us.

General, please could you clarify whether we will keep the new kits for next season or not? As they will otherwise be out of date in 6 months could we not have them at half price to at least get value for money.

Christ! hasnt the general already answered the kit issue by saying the lawyers are looking into it and that is all they can say. Are people really that ignorant about contract law and the way businesses are run, that they think the board can just tell nike, we are keeping the kit for an other year, or just massively reduce the RRP.

It makes me cringe

General; please be assured that some of us have a deeper, longer term affection for this great football club than this forgiving or forgetful contributor. Staunton and Southgate both considered themselves to be 'above' the club, and could not possibly expect support from the section of our match going followers that includes myself.

Questions only, please.

Can we try a bit harder not to let it descend into anarchy again?

Much appreciated

Dear General,

Do you agree that the Frogs making GH work out his notice cannot be blamed on the Villa Board?

General, did Mr Houllier mention any desire to work with Michael Owen in his interview and if so didn't a few alarm bells ring? Unless of course he fancies working at his stables in which case I could shoehorn a mention of Heskey, but I won't.

If our new manager thinks either man is right for any job I'll go along with his choice. Sorry not to be be as good a supporter as you.

Totally agree - I always applaud Southgate when he returns and have nothing against Steve Staunton either. Both gave us excellent service.
Anyway, Mr Houllier can appoint whoever he likes....

General I'm outraged that out new manager has had to work out his notice at his current employers.
General I'm angry that the people who produce our kit fu%$ed it up and Villa are to blame.
General I'm really, really pissed off that a couple of ex plaers have been mentioned as GH's 2nd in charge.
General I'm angry that Kevin Mac hasn't been given the 'big job' despite losing 6-0 to a team I hate, getting knocked out of Europe by a team who rolled over and got their arses kicked yesterday and losing 2-1 to a team who are anti-football.

General,

Most of all I look forward to GH helping us finish above 6th and us actually winning something :).

Keep the faith GK.
