There is a clip of the crash at the start of this clip -
Shoya Tomizawa aged 19
Didn't know whether to put it in the deathwatch thread or not.

Thats a 13 yr old racer that died during a warm up lap (of the MD250H race) at the last weekends Motogp round and now another fatality at this weekends round. The risks motorcycle racers take are far greater than F1 etc and I have nothing but admiration for them.
I have a photo taken at Thruxton of myself with Ollie Bridewell who was killed when he hit a tree at Mallory Park a few races later.

I was watching this live on Eurosport as it happened. Knew it was going to be very bad when they showed the replay, the 2nd bike of Brit Scott Redding went straight over him at 240kmph while he was on the ground and it sent him spinning, I felt it was only a matter of time before they announced his death.
He was going to be a great talent as well, won the opening race in Qatar and was pole position for the 2nd race. Started the weekend 6th place in the championship and was only 19. Real shame.
The marshalls that carried him off dropped him as well which wouldnt have helped matters.
Just to add - Andrea Dovizioso almost suffered the same thing last week at Indianapolis when he fell off his bike and about 4 riders just about managed to avoid him. I'm amazed we havent lost a lot more riders over the years.

MotoGp and motorbikes dont seem to be too popular on H&V.
Anyway.
Jorge Lorenzo in pole position for tomorrows race in Portugal.
Valentino Rossi ( 9th ) and Nicky Hayden ( 13th ) ride for the Ducati Team.
Ducati paddock girl.

If you get chance watch the press confrence on bbc iplayer prior to the race. Lorenzo had a dig at Simoncelli and Simoncelli stood his ground (Its at 6.40).

Yeah. Watched that D.boy, Lorenzo should pick a fight with someone else ( and he probably will ). Cheers.

Dani Pedrosa is so unlucky, he breaks something every year when looking in top form.
