So combine being unfashionable from a media standpoint to lack of success, why would MOTD concentrate any more time on us than they do? We're really not that relevant.

Because it's the BBC and not a fashion show.

FWIW I'd prefer to see more crumpet on MOTD.  Sack Colin Murray and draft in Cheryl Cole and Kelly Brook.  Then we wouldn't give a tinker's cuss what the running order was.  In fact I'd not notice if they didn't show the highlights at all.

Were you one of the people who enjoyed James Cordon's World Cup shows because Abby Clancy was on?

It's not just the football either. When was the last time the BBC or ITV or anyone else had a major drama series set in the Midlands? How many drama series have there  been in the last 10 years set in fucking Manchester?

If the proverbial Martian visitor came and tried to gain a picture of the UK by watching TV, they would conclude there are only two cities of any consequence in the UK, London and Manchester,

Ironically they film Hustle in Brum, but then pass it off as Manchester.

Similarly All Creatures Great and Small - filmed at Pebble Mill.

I did notice they always show Blues at the end of MOTD but I just assumed it was because their games are always really boring.

Maybe if the area became more successful we wouldn't think this way. Outside of one or two high points, collectively the area has won next to nothing in the last 20 years. So combine being unfashionable from a media standpoint to lack of success, why would MOTD concentrate any more time on us than they do? We're really not that relevant.

Says the man from Canada. Go Maple Leafs!

What's being from Canada got to do with anything? Oh, I see. If anybody knows and understands being irrelevant its a Canadian...as you were.

I lived most of my childhood in Erdington, so I can speak from experience about being irrelevant. This coming from the man in match fix central. I guess that's one way of staying relevant, hey Peter?

As for you Damon, the glass on your house is a little thin when your throwing stones from the metropolis of East Dulwich.

Hey everyone here knows they are irrelevant. There was nothing earth shattering about that news. I was just making you two aware that it wouldn't take much to sink your battleships.

Well that is important when you haven't switched to electricity yet. You'll find there's a whole new world out there once you do.

I think the worst thing about Canadians is that they think you give a toss about how different things are `back home.'

Really, no, I don't.

Vimy Ridge though, I'll give them that. Can never drive past it without getting a lump in my throat
