Difficult to choose, but up there would be the 3-0 win over QPR at Highbury in the League Cup semi-final.  Mainly because living in London the press down here assumed it would be a walkover for QPR.

A Little hatrick with one of my favourite headlines the following day - 'Litlle by Little by Little'.

The last game of the 74-75 season v Sunderland always has a special place in my memory.

We'd just clinched promotion in midweek, and we knew we were back where we belonged. The sun shone, Villa Park looked amazing with 57,000 packed inside, the Sunderland team lined up and applauded Villa on to the pitch. thousands on the pitch at the end after a 2-0 win, all singing "We're Going Up".  OK, the game itself was nothing special, but it was a memorable day for so many reasons - not least that it was my 21st!

another favourite is the home match with Coventry just before Xmas 1995. Villa win 4-1, Milosevic hat-trick, BFR and Rico sent packing and Nigel Spink's last ever Villa Park appearance.

I wish I could remember the piss up that we must have had after the match.

Awesome day that was. Had a few in the Aston tavern pre-game and on the walk to the ground got caught up in a group of several thousand Sunderland fans who were being escorted down Witton lane.  Despite being covered in claret & blue we were not subjected to so much as a dirty look. Bearing in mind we actually prevented them getting promotion that day their fans even had the good grace to applaud the Holte End as they filed past after the final whistle. Had an enormous respect for the Mackems ever since

I've always had a soft spot for them too. Whenever they play an away game in the Midlands, loads of them always stop off in Lichfield for a drink on their way to the match. They're invariably good humoured and well-behaved. Proper fans for the most part.

I'd say either the 6-4 against Blackburn or the 2-1 win against Ajax.

Apart from Legion's two:

1996 Aston Villa 2 Leeds United 0

A day when I thought Sasa Curcic was truly the future. He and Yorke were pure Brazil for periods in that game.

1964 Aston Villa 4 Manchester United 0

An afternoon of delirium, capped by Denis Law being sent off. Alan Deakin had fouled him and ended up on the floor. Law attempted to launch Deakin's head into the Trinity. Mind you, didn't stop me holding the cuffs of my long sleeve shirt just like Law whenever I played. Dind't hewlp much with the football but I'm almost sure it made me look cool. Honest.

A couple of my favourites havn't been mentioned. Beating Barcelona 3-0 to win the super cup in '83 and being packed into the corner of the County Ground Swindon and celebrating promotion with the players when the other scores came through in '88. Beating Blues 6-0 in the simod cup on my eighteenth birthday wasn't bad either!

Last game of the season at Everton when we drew 3-3 in I think SGT last game in charge.

Beating Inter Milan 2-0 at home.
