How many less shots of the dug out are there?  We used to see ar least 10 shots of our former manager holding his head etc.

There are certain laws of football television, ie when certain teams are playing, in certain situations, there are scenes which *must* be shown in slow mo.

- Ferguson jumping up and running from seat when Man United score
- O'Neill running and jumping and punching air when Villa score
- O'Neill jumping in air with hands on head when Villa go close
- Ferguson looking at watch post 90 minutes
- Wenger standing arms folded, edge of technical area, every time he gets up

Davis continuing his petrified clearance routine.

Ireland looks pretty tasty.

Gabby needs a goal scoring partner (revolutionary I know).

Ireland has shown flashes of his superb vision, decision making & accurate passing. He is still a couple of games away from match sharpness so things are looking good on that score-as a bonus, his work rate has been excellent as well.

Davis is another player who is not good enough and is not going to fetch anything near the fee that we paid for him.

Looking forward to see how the midfield plays 2nd half-it's more or less my preferred system

When was the last time Deano and Ugo were on the Villa Park turf?

Haha, as soon as I posted the question I thought if anyone knows it's Deano's Mullet. What about the last time they both played for the Villa - what was Deano's last game, Norwich away 1995?

Must have been when Bradford were in the Premier League, 1999 ish.

Great to see a player cut loose like that. Rare in the game in even rarer at Villa Park.

Not if there are better options we don't. But as with anything football related it relies on hindsight.

Indeed Paulie.  Can't blame 'MON' for it.  After all, it was "Martin O Neill's Aston Villa" FC fighting against the hordes of the rest of the footballing world.  Think that's why I liked him so much.  Does that make me a sucker?  Probably.

I'd say another favourite is Sam 'sweaty lip' Alardyce holding his ear piece when Bolton/Blackburn go a goal up/down and maybe? Or a down to earth, straight talking wolves managing sesame street puppet telling us all how "16 place is great" blah blah.
