I really pray Gabby isn't falling victim of the injuries suffered by Michael Owen and Torres. All three are lightning quick, and those other two have had numerous hamstring issues.

Thing about davies is he hits the panic button so quickly, got the ability but not the temperament to be a god cb

That's the thing, put him under any pressure, or even put him in possession and he looks like a rabbit in the headlights.

When he needs to make a challenge, though, he frequently pulls it off.

All in all, not really up to it.

So far so good. Ireland looks very exciting and we look more of a threat going forward.

Ref seems a bit strict.

Come on Marc, make your mark....pardon the terrible pun...

He can look a pub player. That's his problem. I also think he's a bit of legend in his own head.

On a side note, he's playing. So can the RL is a wanker conspiracy theorists lay off now.

I think it was league performances only, so the conspiracy theorists will keep going.

He may not be at his best but Ireland's decision making on the ball really is a cut above.

Think it is to do with Premier League appearences, not cup matches

In which case it's further evidence of boardroom espionage!

Good old Ray keeps calling fouls, then changing his mind on seeing the replay. Not that easy is it Ray?
