Just a shame that Wiki's ottmar hitzfeld page yesterday about him being unveiled as the new villa boss today hasn't turned out to be true.

Have faith it's only 3.30!!

Lets face it no one will ever be good enough to appease our supporters - even if it was Jose Morinho or Fergie there would be people on here doubting their credentials.

They've had 3 weeks to interrogate a list of about 5 candidates who are available right now and are up to the job - they won't all want it because lets face it is a thankless task unless you can win the league within three seasons on a modest budget. No one like Hiddink, Jol or Hitzfeld will come here because we are a CV wrecker. Just pick someone who is willing to give it a shot then in 3 years we can go through this whole charade again as the next bloke who fails to live up to the unrealistic expectations of our supporters trapped in 1982 becomes disillusioned and quits.

I blame you.

I blame you.

First Martin ditches, then 6 nil, followed by Vienna and now Walnuts blames me - I'm off to the Bing with Phil Brown 8)

How have we got so many injured players at the moment? There was no playing time in the World Cup for Warnock,Luke Young,Dunne and Agbonlahor.

Quite normal for these overpaid footballers to disappear when the going gets tough.
Remember Sir GT couldnt get players to turn up for England when it got sticky, Andy Gray's oft used groin strain as well.
Would rather we went with the youngsters now on ....at least they have some hunger

I'm pretty sure that if he being "lined up" then it would be Lerner doing the lining.

Fortunately, it's quite obviously nonsense. There's as much chance of Phil Brown being our next manager as there is of me being our next manager.

Nope. But nor has Phil Brown. Neither has Steve Staunton. Neither has Moira Stuart. Neither has the Honey Monster.

There are lots of us in the same boat.

Interesting you mention the Honey Monster.  He has more footballing credentials than some candidates mentioned...

Anyone remember the quiz question 'who has scored for Newcastle and saved a pen for Manchester United?' or something like that anyway!?

If the competition is so bad then why do all the teams enter it. They could always finish 9th and not bother. It's a eurp cup and one of the very few trophies on offer.
