I think Kevin genuinely is undecided and I'd much rather him be honest with us than say what he thinks what we want to hear.

Is he being honest or just sprouting what he thinks the owner wants to hear :)

Or he has been told to say

I'd doubt he doesn't have a laid out guidelines on what he can and can't say.

I recognise and understand all the words it's just that the way they're put together that is confusing me but then I have similar issues with Joyce and Beckett so don't feel bad about it.

If MON was mulling all this over why didn't he resign when the Liverpool job became vacant...

Maybe through contacts he heard Hodgson was 1st choice.

I would love Roy Hodgson to walk out on Liverpool over broken promises about the owners selling the club. A really good manager caught up in a joke of a situation. Come to VP, Woy. You'll be loved down here.

Half his squad want to leave, Mascherano, Kuyt, Torres

Come on Woy you know it makes sense

Is this a riddle?

Is the answer, a door?

Randy is at the NFL owners meetings in Atlanta.  So I doubt he's doing much of anything Aston Villa related at the moment.

I'm guessing his phone still works though and that Faulkner is still doing something.

Cheers, Chris. That's made my day. Now all I have to do it stop sniggering like Mutley. Brilliant.

Just out of interest, when is the cut of point for stopping blaming MON?  When the new manager arrives?  January when he can buy his own players?  This time next year so he'll have had a full pre-season?
This entire season will be impacted purely by the fact he fucked off when he did.

Long term his squad will also impact on how the team progress too. I can't see how if the likes of DOL and JG's buys were still impacting on Villa and used even now to show how MOn had to clear out so many that the same won't be said about Mon.
After all he did leave behind some highly over paid, very peripheral players. My hope is that the new guy has more nous and can do something useful with them. more useful than paying a huge wage to sit in the stands or occasionally sit on the bench. At least the likes of Davis, McCann, Hughes, Sorensen even Baros, Angel served a purpose even if it was limited, Heskey, Sidwell and others, well

His use of them is one argument, but the players you mentioned would have been starters in the DOL side he inherited.  There's a big difference in what you have to work with from a squad that finished 16th from a squad that finished 6th.
