Tomorrow's Game
« on: August 18, 2010, 08:49:02 PM »
For tomorrow I have formulated a grand plan which involves picking up my A-Level results and then spending the rest of the day with other Villa supporting mates waiting in town to watch the football. As I haven't actually watched a match in town before, are there any suggestions as to which would be the best places to watch the match.

Much appreciated.

The Newt used to have a good big screen but that's shut now I think. The Yard of Ale (New Street) and the Briar Rose (Bennett's Hill) have got quite a few tellys, though I can't be sure the Briar will definitely be showing it.

Those are the only places I tend to go, so that's all I can help you with. Best of luck with your results!

The Troc now shows football again.  Common sense prevails.

Oh and good luck with your results too (and anyone else who gets theirs tomorrow).

Good luck mate, that was me three years ago!

I'd go in the Newt if I were you. Then head on to the Briar which should be rammed full of people your (it feels well weird not to be saying 'our') age.
