John e you are a fool!  Ireland was suggested as part of the deal from a very early stage, which means yes when MON was still at the club, so yes it was Martin's idea, so that critisium makes no sense

Right now than I have got that out the way!  

If we had to let Milner go, this is as good a deal as any.  I too have been an Ireland fan for awhile, and if he has his head on striaght could add some thing a little different to our side.  SI is different from Milner, but at his age and under the right management [hint, hint ] could be just as good. 

My main concern is that Ireland appently did not want this move in the first place, so there is always the chance his heart might not be in it.  Hope I'm wrong, and that we will get a couple more good buys in before the window closes.

On a serious note, that video reminded possibly why he was so good 2 years ago but out of it last year. He had a tremendous understanding with Robiniho. I can't imagine Gabby making some of the runs that were being made for Irelands visionary through balls.

I think that Ireland will turn out to be even more valuable than Milner.  He is more creative with respect to distributing the ball.  Also, he has got a lot to prove.  Mancini may end up rueing this day.
