Maybe a more straightforward 4-2-3-1, Stan and NRC genuinely holding the midfield for the away leg? Then we could perhaps play a couple of the younger 'uns in the 3, let's say Albrighton, Weimann and Bannan, with maybe Carew or Heskey offering them support and experience in that role? Probably not, I'd say Young will play.

One thing's for sure: it's nice not to know exactly what team and what system will play.

This means nothing to me.

Woooooah Vienna!

I predict that I'll be full of pure Germanic beer by around 2pm in the afternoon.

Can't see TM feeling he has the licence to play a team of kids andperhaps get us knocked out of Europe. I'm guessing:

Friedel - Young, Cuellar / Dunne, Clarke, Warnock - NRC, Petrov - Albrighton, Young, Downing - Heskey

Subs: Guzan, Beye, Cuellar / Dunne, Sidwell, Weimann, Agbonlahor, Carew

The good thing about KMac being in charge at the moment is that he knows what his reserves are capable of. Somehow I don't think MON really did.

Not sure about this game, they could still be a real handful, but think we'll do them at home and on aggregate.

Revenge time. I'd expect us to put them away, but nothing's certain with KMac.

Is anything in life certain?

Wouldn't it be good to silence their noisy support .............

Have to admit the atmosphere created by them last season was memorable

I've faith that KMac can set up a team to bring em back to VP and possibly progress on away goals

2-2 with Richie and Carew on target

this will be my hope

2-0 Milner to score both and after match declare he is staying at Villa but only if Big Mac gets the job!

I'm going for a Rapid 1-0 win, scored in the dying minutes.

Then we qualified for the group stage by thrashing them 4-1 in the return leg.
