I agree, really he should be nowhere near the first team so we shouldn't be in this situation. He wanted to leave I'd rather his place was taken by a hungry reserve or youth player that wants to give 100% for Villa although it is starting to grate that most people just see us as a stepping stone to 3 x their weekly salary. I can understand people wanting to voice their disapproval  although I wouldn't make it easier for him ,plus I think we're getting the best out of this deal.

Doubling his wages to 120k, like anybody needs that much.....

If he had any sense he'd wait to see if a big team came in for him. Then again they won't because he isn't that good.
