I wonder now if randy regrets the fact that he didn't sack o neill in may -that's what should gave happened, as it was pretty clear to most that things were not right between them from o neills body language and interviews.

I'd be pretty happy, especially considering some of the crap we've been linked with.

Houllier for a season would be good. See how he does, if we regress, replace with someone younger, fresher, and more readily available. His style of football may not have been massively popular in Liverpool, but its gonna be a damn site better than O Neills kick and run tactics.

Of all the options that are realistic right now, it's one of the better. Why not? K Mac doesn't have the experience to steady the ship and try to match what we've done previous years. Hope he gets a coaching role, because he knows the club inside out, and it'd make perfect sense.

At the very least Houllier is a big name, and it shows a little ambition. We could have made a rush appointment like Curbishley.

We'll see, there may be another twist in the saga yet.

I still believe that Curbishley was interviewed and his name subsequently leaked with the sole intention making Houlier look like a far more attractive proposition.

A bit. Same as Sven would have, though I'd have preferred the barmy Swede. In terms of what's out there.

Though I suppose if we were being really ambitious we'd be buying out someone else manager. The only problem there is, the good ones will be at good clubs and be hard pushed to come to us.

I'm actually worried sick about us getting this appoinment right!

Since The Doctor, Ron, Brian Little walks on water, Sir Graham, MON and even DO'L; only the JG appointment didn't feel right for us.

Not one person linked with us is ticking my boxes I'm afraid. Wouldn't it just be fantastic if Randy really pulled one out of the blue.  :)

I like what Jason McAteer had to say about Houllier on SSN in that some players are in for a shock if he comes and they wont have it as easy as they did under ONeill, Music to my ears as i think after all this mess this is what we need he is a tough disciplinarian on the training ground who wont accept players giving less than a 100% Big JC may finally get his act together or be shipped out !

I don't think SGT 2nd time here was the right choice.

I'm coming round to Houllier being a good appointment.

Unless he thinks about it and decides to turn it down.
