Can viw his transfer glory on there. Pretty poor!!!

Maybe he has learnt since then to spend more wisely though. More interesting than Curbs, would be interesting if he does a season and then brings a younger manager underneath him like Grayson for example.

I'd like to believe that we are going to try and copy the Lyon model, hence the appointment of Houllier.

I agree we should try the Lyon model! ;D

Now the cat is out the bag apparently I would hope the club could release a statement to give us the full details of houlliers appointment.

After nearly a month it's not the greatest choice and a lot of chairmen would have gone out and paid to get their man whether in a job or not, could have been better than houllier but could also have been worse.

After almost a month of waiting I'm sure things could have been done much better , but now let's get behind houllier and see where it takes us.
Cat out of what bag (apparently) nothing on OS yet unless I have missed something, its just a report in a paper isnt it?

must admit,
the list of signings that was posted a couple of days ago, when Houlier was at Liverpool, were horrific.

they made MON's look like the work of genius

didnt like the style of play at liverpool either, far to defensive, he might have changed at Lyon.

but hey he's from Europe, and he's got a foriegn sounding name so he must be great !

No, Houllier as DoF, Curbs as manager and K-Mac as first team coach.

There I was expecting Sven to take over, now the BBC say he's not in the frame. How would we cope with Bradley as manager he was a cert, oh hang on he's staying in the US. Wait Hitzfelts got the job, interesting, no its Koeman, hang on KM's Randy's cheap and easy choice God help us.
Still Randy knows best even if his sensible method of standard interview practice does break the mold of the usual PL selection circus. Hang on Curbishley has the job DW hints and he's such a cert fans are sending season tickets back, how will we cope.
Ah well as there's no chance of getting a decent manager, our owner being too ethical and lacking in ambition, boring Curbishley is the man expect announcement this afternoon to ensure a miserable weekend.

No wait now, seems no announcement is imminent, how strange. Oh there you are forget Curbishley, koeman, Sven, Houlliers got the job guaranteed perhaps with KM as his number 2.
Problem solved, bring on Stoke.

Or is it ?

Looks like Houllier then, considering we can't really get the likes of Jol/Moyes after O'Neill left us so far in the shit, I'm relativity happy.

Plus, he knows all the french youth, we might get a few quality young players in.

Remember this guy also assumed "the cat was out of the bag" regarding Klinsmann, Koeman and Sven.

It's a pretty poor choice overall.
Pretty galling when you see the strides Spurs have made in the last 12 months, we seem to be going backwards.
