If that was the shortlist, with Moyes amongst it, our board need their heads read for even bothering with the others.  File under 'horseshit'.

We knew interviews were starting on Monday anyway and all mirror has revealed is curbs was one and randy and Faulkner have been in a London hotel 3 days conducting them- now randy's heading back , why the heck would the mirror know all the names?

Just because they know curbs was one doesn't mean they know the rest - let's hope for an announcement tomorrow.

Why would'nt The Mirror know the names? They claim to know every other aspect of Randy's Lerner's week. The Mirror know sod all, always have done and always will do. I'd be surprised if they held interviews in London of all places, bearing in mind it's where the national media are based.
But bear in mind the direct flights from Madrid, Istanbul, Berne, Amsterdam and Liverpool to get the chosen candidates in place.

I tell you what, it would be good to re do the poll now with 8-10 options that are believed to be in the frame and see who wins now.

They'd knoW more than you or me clampy, they even know the hotel, maybe they had a tip off about curbs- doesn't follow that they would know the others- and it would be highly stupid to report randy being there with Faulkner if he wasn't there for 3 days.

Why not London? They were hardly going to do them at villa pArk in the media glare.
Yeah, London has no media glare. They probably don't even bother with journalists down there.

One thing - if they "know" about Curbishley, why wouldn't they know about any other name? Why him?

Regarding moyes it's strange he didn't come out today and commit himself to everton- total silence there.

Why would the new man have to work with kmac? The new man should choose his own staff !

Whatever is going on it seems we may know very soon who our new manager will be.

I don't believe that Bono comitted himself to U2 today either, but unfortunately they are still together as well.

I would be dejected if Curbishley got it.

The first people to start defending him would have to be shot too.
I read this and laughed. I read it again and it was even funnier. Thanks Rich.

The whole thing is getting wonderfully surreal.

You could ask dave why he knows only about curbs -maybe he's the only one who has spoken out about being interviewed.

There are plenty hotels in London where randy could conduct interviews away from the press- I'm guessing he chose London to conduct them- but I'm sure the general will confirm this-who cares where they were done as long as we get the right man!

Just because they say they know the hotel it dose'nt mean they do. Papers print stuff like that to give their stories a bit more credibility.

As for why not London, I would have thought a hotel in the middle of nowhere would have been better, but that's me.

silly comparison, but true there is no need too deny because it was just a few silly book makers.

Although I don't really want to sound like I'm backing up anything printed in the Mirror, it is possibly worth remembering that London is an exceptionally big place, and it is probably easier to get something like this sorted down there with a bit of confidence.

Of course clampy the papers aren't always right and are very often wrong , but sometimes they are right.

Did dave woodhall get his curbs news from the mirror website or was he told elsewhere I would like to know.
