I rest my case.

Is that Ailsa Stewart from Home and Away?  And if so, can she be added to the poll options please?  I can see her drafting Alf in for a bit of discipline down Bodymoor - we wouldn't be out of Europe if Kevin Mac had been calling Beye a "flaming galaa" from the touchline.

No its Rudi Voller post op

I've never had a problem with a brillo pad, be it green or silver.  Menopausal women, however, I've always found to be something of a mixed bag.  In conclusion, we probably shouldn't appoint Hughes, and I should really go and do the washing up before my Mom has a go at me.

It's not unusual, but it is not right either.

I am sure I read a comment by The General saying that those in the club who needed to know what was going on, were being kept informed on what was happening.  I wonder if the Kevin MacDonald for manager has been a bit of a smoke screen.

Randy has been done over by MON in that MON took all of his staff with him.  I would take Randy as being somebody that wouldn't be burnt twice.  He would therefore probably want a manager that didn't bring all his own staff with him, so that if there was a parting some time in the future, there may be continuity as the assistant/coaching team would possibly stay on.  With this in mind, I wonder if Kevin Mac is lined up as Assistant Manager and 1st Team Coach and Randy is looking for more of a forward thinking General Manager to work with KM.  Somebody like Klinsmann would fit the bill perfectly and was quoted in the Mirror article last week

The 46-year-old, capped 108 times by Germany, has just moved his family back to their California home after an ill-fated spell as boss of Bayern Munich, but has made it clear he’d be open to the right offer to work in England. He said recently: “The next opportunity I take on must have an environment where I feel really happy. I want to work with people that do it for the right reasons.
“I want to fit into an environment that kind of shares my philosophy, and my philosophy is an attacking style of football.
“That’s just the way I think, and it’s how I built the German team for the 2006 World Cup over two years, which was highly criticised over a long stretch of time, and then they embraced it.
“It’s a style of play that takes time to implement, and you need the environment that gives you that time.
“That’s why I’m cautious. It needs to fit.”
That accords with Lerner’s vision for Villa after the American banking billionaire realised he can’t compete with Manchester City’s spending and needs to find another way to build a sustainable model.
He wants a boss he can work with rather than be confrontational after falling out with O’Neill over transfer plans.
Klinsmann’s gentlemanly style is just right – and he also has the standing in the game both to inspire the young players coming through the club’s academy scheme as well as manage the senior stars bought by O’Neill. Klinsmann had begun a behind-the-scenes revolution improving Bayern Munich’s youth structure before falling out with directors who were impatient for first-team results.

Some very similar wording there to the Club's statement and The General's comments.  Coincidence or The Mirror building a story?

Well Randy orginally want Klinsmann with the takeover before he was advised O'runner was the one pretty much everyone wanted at the time.

Can't believe how lucky we are! Now that Transfer window is closed other clubs fans have nothing left to talk about however for us we can carry on chatting till  Manager is appointed!

The more I read about Klinsmann the more convinced I am that he is the right choice.  He and K-Mac could be a perfect partnership that - theoretically - would please everyone.

The fact that he's out of a job just makes it a no-brainer for me.  Would he be happy living and working in Birmingham though?

If I was Lerner I'd hire K Mac  for one year and a team option and emphasis that Villa is a "family/loyal" club (which is the trait that apparently appeals to the likes of Ireland.) If at the end of the year he doesn't work out, then who knows who will be available?

I've been away for a while but before I went there was a lot of talk about Bilic which now seems to have disappeared, did he rule himself out?
I think Bilic would be an excellent choice! A young, enthusiastic, intelligent manager (who holds a law degree lol) speaks fluent English, German and Italian (therefore able to communicate with players outside of the British Isles) who gets his team well organised, tactically aware of the opposition (they pulled our pants down under Mclaren and were also suffering some key injuries when we played them under Capello)  Builds an extremely competitive team with great team spirit with a good blend of flair and brawn. He wants to manage in the Premier League - and loves England. Although unproven at club level he's gotta be worth a go. He's in my top 3 managerial wish list - gotta be worth an interview!?

Old Jurgen could certainly learn our forwards a thing or two about goal scoring.

I dont think he will be in the 'final five' to be interviewed, but I think someone who fits the bill is Owen Coyle.

I think he did as good a job as he could at Burnley and he has done well so far at Bolton. I know its not an appointment that would blow your socks off but he is well thought of, up and coming and I think he could work with K.Mac.

That said Bolton might not be too happy after having him for less than a year.

Is Randt waiting to see how well a Mac appointment will go down. I am getting so cynical.

This appointment will outline Randys ambition.

Let's hope he gets it right.

Randy putting nearly a quarter of a billion squid into the club has outlined his ambition already.
Whoever he appoints will not change that.

However, I think he will appoint a "name" so dont worry.
