Bit harsh on moyes pmk saying he's done sod all - done a better job than mon and spent probably less than half what mon did.
Yet the Everton fans have just as many complaints about Moyes regarding formation, tactics, substitutions and personnel as we did about O'Neill.

I wouldn't complain about seeing Moyes come in. But he's not really an upgrade on what we have seen for the last few years.

Handshake and statement were yesterday and wouldn't explain why the betting  odds have plummeted tonight.

Whoever it is going to be lets hope he doesn't hang around with transfers. He needs to be in for the morning and signing players ( its never going to happen )

I disagree.

He's worked on a very small budget at Everton and, although not won anything, provided an entertaining team with excellent technical ability and, wait for it, foreign players to boot.

I would take Moyes over O'Neill per se, let alone the others in the betting.

Which bit are you disagreeing with? Even a cursory look at their message boards show numerous threads about his insistence on playing 4-5-1, not dropping players who are out of form, always playing his favourites, making the wrong substitutions at the wrong time and spending too much of his limited budget on players in the wrong positions.

And his small budget is a bit of a myth. They paid £15m for Fellaini, £11m for Yakubu, £8.5m for Johnson, £9m for Bilyaletdinov.

It's just that his gems (Pienaar/Arteta/Cahill) are so good for the small amount of money paid that it's easier to forget the big fees that have been paid elsewhere.

5Live have just said that there has been no contact about David Moyes "nor is there likely to be". Seriously, I would be extremely surprised if David Moyes came to the Villa.

Has anyone seen or heard of anyone of the candidates at Villa Park today?

When people talk of his budget, they mean his net budget, he has brought in around 55 million with the sales of Rooney and Lescott.
I'm sure I read a stat that his net spend at everton over 8 years was less than Martins over 3 years.

Which is great, but is still meaningless. The fact that Everton's youth team had the best young player in the country ready to be sold and that Man City are mental doesn't make Moyes any better or worse at transfers.

In the same way the fact that we just received the equivalent of £26m for Milner doesn't make O'Neill any better or worse at transfers - it just means that Man City don't operate on the same planet to the rest of us.

I don't even want Moyes that much based on managerial ability, more because it'd show the rest of the country we're still an attractive proposition.

I don't really think he'd get us into the top 4. And I don't like this style of football.

I agree on Moyes' flaws. He's good but not that good.

I don't think it's a goer anyway.

went to have a look on some Everton forums, most seem to think it is balls, some think there could be something in it.  What was far more surprising was someone posting that Warnock for Baines and 2mil was a done deal tomorrow!?
