My reading of the General's latest post is that Kevin MacDonald won't be appointed.

Brian Little

Yes. If we must wait for whoever it is that we are targetting and probably be fairly useless in the meantime then let's get Brian in. At least we know he cares.

Yep, he's clearly no longer in the frame. I'm more than a little relieved by that though I thank him for accepting the care-take role.

Yes looking at the generals comments I think we can safely rule out kmac and Bradley- thank god for that!

Let's hope we can get a win today and then all get behind our new manager next week- I liked koemans positive comments I must admit ,I have a strange hunch maybe we are going to try and get mark Hughes from fulham and try and buy out his contract?

Whoever it is I'm happy it's not kmac or bob Bradley.

Let's hope we can get a wim today
Is that "quim" or "win"? Both would be nice.

Gerard Houllier is the latest name mentioned.

Could be better, could be worse.

Interesting one dave, plenty of experience at the highest level and in the premiership too.

Three years out of club management is far too long in  my book. He may well have been a top manager/coach but his biggest weakness has to be on transfers. No thanks.

It's going to be Klinsmann, I can feel it in  my bones.

The quotes from Klinsmann in the media today on his 'next challenge' do fit with some of the things we've heard from The General.

Here we go, the geniuses on the sunday supplement are just about to give us there ten pence worth on the villa job.

Any shouts on how damning they're going to be on us?

Phil Brown being the best we can hope for maybe?

It has to be said that Klinsmann said none of that today or yesterday, or even necessarily after the Villa job became available, but merely "recently", which is vague to say the least, so he wasn't necessarily talking about Villa. But the promising thing is that he may as well have been, because everything he's said there is virtually a carbon copy of what Randy, the General, K Mac and everyone else connected with the club have been saying. If he rolls up in B6, I'll be optimistic again.
