My mate just called me and he's been told Phil Brown arrived at VP this afternoon in a car with Randy.   I hope soooo much this is just a load of bollox it hurts.

Ha! Ha! That's just made me laugh out loud. Is the link there the fact that his skin colour is the same and the cleveland browns orange shirts?

i dont know who is worse, phil brown or bob bradley

the thing is at the present time, can we attract any managers better?  i know us villa fans think we should have the best that is out there, but do they want to come to us ?

Surely the answer to your question is phil brown. He's a f**king clown (the rhyme was unintentional).
The thought sends a shudder of judda-man proportions down my spine!

Tbh after last nights debacle, the lack of stewardship, leadership, structure, organization, everything, i would appoint a manager asap.

I would have waited for Jol, but i don't think we can wait, and , i never thought i would say it, i would have Sven asap.

Owen Coyle if we r desperate? He has proved he will move during the season and his record is unblamished by relegation, his sides play neat football and he can work on the cheap. He's better than some recently mentioned.

There might appear to be a lot wrong at B6 but surely on gods green earth we can appoint a better manager tha Phil Brown if we cannot this really is a twelve storey crisis with magnificent entrance hall, carpet throughout, 24 hr porters and a large sign on the roof saying 'this is a large crisis'

I disagree completely. We shouldn’t appoint a manager unless he’s the right man for the long term. Appointing one now in order to get some direction isn’t good enough if he’s not up to it. If waiting means we lose against Everton, then so be it. We’ll have two weeks to sort it out, get the right guy in, get him familiarised with the squad and he can have 35 league games to do some good work this season.

why are we so desperate to get anyone in the job, regardless of there quality,
get the panic manager in and we are really in the deep shit, for the longer term

the clubs not going to end up like Newcastle or Leeds just because we lost one league game

i'm glad i wasnt in the trenches with some of you lot, you'd be surrendering before the first shot was fired [bit for the General there]

some of the stuff being posted is truly pathetic, give Randy the time to bring a good manager in, time to keep the faith not lose it

Are they getting the rumour from the fan sites? I heard this yesterday from a Londay guy I have business dealings from (he's a West Ham fan) and he picked it up off a WHam web site.

Has the recent results made KM an untenable choice for RL now?
I voted for him after the West Ham game but have now withdrawn my vote (4 centre halves)???? last night

Surely the only way we can be getting in players is if we do already have a manager in place but he can't be unveiled until a certain date. And he's turned around to the board and said get me these players ready for when I come in since it'll be after the deadline date.
If we're getting players in because the board want them then we're in trouble. No manager is going to want to work with that. And if I'm honest the Aston villa board don't strike me as a group of egotistical halfwits that want to run a club like that

I agree with Ads and John e. Rush and appoint a Phil Brown or Joe Kinnear type appointment out of panic and we will be fucked. It will do more harm than good.

Wait a while and get a slightly better class of manager and we will be the better for it.

Another really important question that needs to be answered is,
What the hell are we all going to do with our spare time once we've got our new manager and there's not as much to talk about on here?
