Quote from this mornings Times "Mac Donald remains uncertain whether he wishes to be thrust into the glare of top flight Mangement . But it is thought the Club would be receptive should he wish to work alongside a more experienced figure such as BRIAN LITTLE ,a Villa legend , so that he can prioritise coaching the Team " .
Welcome back ' Sir Brian ' ?...... maybe even  John.Gregory ?!   ;),  ................Godzvilla!

you missed the suggestion by many that Graham Taylor will be back in the role of DOF. He'd take it too.

The playing staff, even the whole playing set up needs a new input, a new impact man with modern ideas from tactics to training regime and so on.

KM and BL or GT won't give that. I'm there for a compromise situation but that ideas folly

Isn't Sir Graham chairman at Watford? I doubt he'd leave them for us to be honest. He's got Villa in his heart but Watford in his soul.

Woooooaahhhhhh, man, I just sounded soooo black and soulful then I must be cool.

On refelction its a bit 80s T'Pau really.

No dis-respect to Kevin Mac, but he doesn't look convinced he wants the job. That alone is enough to look at someone who does want it and want it with a passion.
Kev has done a fantastic job for a long time here at Vlla, he's been left in difficult position, no thanks to Martin.
I've always stuck up for Martin, I liked the football, the results were good, we were improving steadily. But he has certainly left us at a stupid time which has left a very sour taste in my mouth in the manner he walked.
We need to be interviewing candidates now and only looking at serious contenders for the job. We need some organisation and direction back at the top.
One thing under Martin we was tough to beat and we had great spirit, we need that back to our team. We need a leader.
Kevin Macdonald may have the respect from the players, and is probably well liked by them but we need someone in who is going to kick their sorry backsides into shape and get us playing again.

To be frank the fact the Kevin Mac couldn't make his up within a couple of days meant he was the wrong man for the job.

I completely agree that Kevin doesn't seem up to it.

But apart from , Alan Bob Bradley and Sven, I really can't think of a candidate who's going to take over in the next couple of weeks. Oh Alan Curbishley.

I couldn't agree more.  Too much damage has been done now in the last two games for KMac to remain in charge.  The season looks like a write off just after it has begun.  We need Jol as a matter of urgency.

As I said, enough is enough we need a proper manager to get this side into line. There are a lot of very good players, who need to have their attitudes sorted and it needs to happen now. There are also a lot of poor players who should not be playing for this club.

I suspect the good will in the dressing room for KM is fading too.  I imagine the 2 defeats have convinced the players he's not the messiah after all. There was probably relief with MON gone, but the honeymoon is over and we need a proper, respected, high profile, experienced manager and pronto.

I honestly don't think Randy and co are stupid enough to appoint KM now.

Ottmar Hitzfeld                                             8.4
Jurgen Klinsmann                                                 10
Paul Lambert                                              14

My choices from that list:

1. Jol 2. Hitzfeld 3. Erikkson on potentially just a one year deal.

I'm actually warming to the idea of Klinsmann now. Think he'd be high-profile enough to create a bit of a positive atmosphere about the place and keep the players happy. Can't think of a more suitable free-agent at the moment unfortunately.

It was Kev Mac's job to lose. And he lost it.

This scenario. KM doesn't want and was never going to be offered the job but is provaricating to take the pressure off the board until the announcement is made. Fingers crossed.

Get Dave Jones in from Cardiff, he has done well with them and could do a good job with us.
