There was a photograph of a woman who was very near the Palace 'fan' and an interview with her; she had the gall to claim that briefly she was as famous as Princess Di.

I cannot believe that Bradly with zero PL experience has gotten more of the vote than the very experienced Curbisley, and some of the comments here makes me think that your all a bunch of Hammers fans in digise.

The fact is we are unlikely to attract anyone better than MON, and based on the fact that the guy concerned will have very little money to spend than a guy like AC with his know how, cool head, and neat way of handling players would be perfect right now. I don't get what peoples problem with him is.  Apart from what he did at Chalton, I seem to be one of the only ones who think he did a solid job at West Ham.  He kept them up when they were almost nailed on to go down, and the next season they finish a very respectable tenth, and then because of a dodgy start the next season he gets the sack.  Given our current situlation, and that we need a steady head he would be my choice right about now.

6th/ MON was fantastic. Curbishley for manager. You really do have a low opinion of the club, don't you? Either that or low expectations.

I don't know if I'm a supporter of Klinsmann or not, but could the argument be made that Guillit raised the profile of a mid-ranking club attracting better players than they might have got before he arrived?

Undoubtedly, yes.

Before:  David Speedie, Pat Nevin, Ken Monkou.

After:  Zola, Vialli, Desailly.

It would be interesting, but one would hope that he wasn't being hired with that as the primary criteria in mind, as important as it is. Stick him with a solid coaching team, his links across Europe and beyond, and he's very media savvy, and it may not be a bad thing. I just always had the feeling he was biding his time for the US national team job. He may also look at us as an opportunity of rebuilding his club management career reputation. It took a few blows from his time at Bayern.
