No, he just seems to be the latest in line to put himself in the picture.  To be fair from the qoute I saw he has said that there have been no actual contact from the club.

That's one of my all time favourite moments in football.

Rudi Voller's face as he looks at the ref and tugs at his gob-speckled mullet.

I presume you mean Voller's face and not Rijkard's actions.

The entire thing. Spitting is horrible, but the whole incident was hilarious, and one of those things you never forget seeing.

If we're looking for a like-for-like replacement we should go for Mike Bassett.

Tactics? Yes
Assistant Manager? Yes
First team coach? Yes
Intellectual? Who can forget Kiplin's 'If'
442? Yes
Sticks with his favourites? Yes

Sorted.

I remember reading the Observer's article 10 years after the above event. There was a photograph of a woman who was very near the Palace 'fan' and an interview with her; she had the gall to claim that briefly she was as famous as Princess Di. Some football fans have a very over-rated opinion of themselves.

You won't find anyone with an over-rated opinion of themselves on this board....

Maybe it's because she looks like George Michael.

Shall we remove Jol now he's said he doesn't want the job?

Could work if we had set the poll up on an alternative vote system!

What does it say about the change in attitude toward O'Neill's abilities that so many on here think a man with the grand total of five Premier League games managerial experience would be a more than adequate replacement?

Not much...I'd have MON back in a heartbeat if he ad Randy coulld kiss and make up.

The market is all over the shop at the moment.

Stan James have Steve Nicol - yes, Steve Nicol - at 20/1. Sven is lingering as second favourite, Ladbrokes are only offering 16/1 on McLeish (!!), and Klinsmann drifted in last week, then way out again, and is now coming in, back at 10/1ish.
