I'm unsure on Keane.  Excellent at Sunderland, yet walked as soon as it got tough, then decent at Ipswich.  I think there's a good manager in there, just probably needs a thicker skin for when things aren't going too well.

I can't see that Bob Bradley would have less knowledge of the European leagues than O'Neill, who let's not forget, signed about the grand total of four players from outside Britain for Celtic and Villa in about 7 years, and they included Guzan and Salifou, and Carew who was offered to him!

That's not our only criteria for the job, but I'd also doubt it's true as his competitive games aren't against European teams except once every four years and he doesn't source his international players from there.  What professional need would he have view or scout the European leagues?

I'm pretty sure he as a professional international manger would be aware of many many players across europe. My only reservation would be a perceived lack of trandfer knowledge, as he hasn't really been involved in the transfer side of things. We a DOF maybe?

If we've got no money to spend, a decent coach would be high on the agenda, and it doesn't matter where you come from to be a good coach.

Ok perhaps not my ONLY reservation, however I'd take a punt on him over, Curbishly, Allardyce, Bruce, McCleish, Hughes, Reid etc etc any day. Coupled with a Director of football, then I wouldn't be despairing. Far from my first choice, but as I said, better than any of the above. Only my opnion though.

I would not be happy with this appointment, as I think it would be too big a leap to make.

At the same time if we do get him it is important he is given time. Allegedly he spends a lot of time going around to the likes of AC Milan and other clubs in Europe to see how they do things.

But then didn't Tony Adams do something similar.......
