Thers surely no way randy would be stupid enough to go for bob Bradley-total red herring in my eyes.

Surely randy will go for someone who has worked or played in the premiership, of which Sven, klinsmann, bilic and jol all qualify.

Bob Bradley wouldn't even keep us up- any of those 4 would keep us in the top 8 at worst!

if Arsenal had your narrow view on managers, they would have never appointed Wenger

you and i know very little about Bradley, yes it would be a big risk, but so was Wenger like i said, and that didnt turn out to bad

Except Wenger at managed in Europe, at a decent level too.

Bradley would be an absolute disaster, this has made me very worried.

Why do you think an 'absolute disaster', then?

As I said the other day, he's the cheap option and in the current climate that might clinch it. He'd also be very grateful and therefore more pliable and likely to do exactly what he was told.

Bradley's managed at International level, also at a decent level,

i'm not saying i want him or like him, i just dont know much about him, so its difficult to dismis him as a no hoper, on such little evidence

Could it be Sven as DoF and Bradley as coach then? With the fall back that Sven is very capable of advising and taking over if Bob is crap.

I think one man has to be in charge. I don't think that sort of relationship ever works out. There's always a conflict in those situations I think.

Bob Bradley's side in the World Cup was a big physical unit that played to set pieces.  Anyone who thinks we'd see the desired footballing improvement under him is mistaken.

I agree he sounds like the cheap option 'yes man' who will do as he's told.  Randy will go down in my estimation if this is the case.

if thats true, i wont be happy with that sort of football,
but i cant remember to many of there goals in the WC being scored from set pieces,
and Donavan is hardly a big physical unit,
but i dont know and you might well be right

Would Bradley be that cheap though?

Wouldn't he be on a good salary as the boss of the USA national side?

There is no  obvious choice is there? As Randy's decision to stretch out the appointment process validates.

A concern is who is advising them on a managerial appointment? Their football admininstration management has been good to date, but how clued up are they to make this appointment?

Jol is the fan's favourite, although I do not think he should be by the margin the poll suggests. I see no reason why MON's "buy British" policy should be discontinued, it has been a unique selling point for us. Although I share others' reservations about Sven, his agent, Athol Still is on a par with Pina Zahavi as a global "super-agent" which could help deliver some of the qulaity foreign additions some of our support crave.

My favourite continues to be Frank Rijkaard, getting him from Galatasaray should not be difficult, he has a distinguished playing and managerial track record, he speaks good English , culturally he would fit, and would offer an International perspective without wrecking the British backbone of the team. His lack of Prem knowledge counts against him, but it didnt do Ancelloti and Wenger any harm.

Im warming to the idea of Klinsman if im honest. High profile and would get us on the map. Seems to be fairly well respected all round (despite his spell at bayern) bring him on I say.

Joachim Low please he'd be my top choice, I think he'd be perfect. He's had relative success at club level (maybe still something to prove?) and has since got the German team playing fantastic stuff after their "crisis period". Also was supposedly the brains behind Klinsmann. He's a big name in world football without ever really manging a top club side. He can pull off the awesome combo of sweater/jacket with ease and must have a decent chance of pulling in some of Germany's up and coming talent.

Just imagine being 3-0 up against the filth, 20 minutes to go. Low and Hans-Dieter Flick patrolling the technical area in matching smart casual attire, with that unshakable air of German confidence and superiority. Casting over a dismissive glance to a sweaty Big Eck letting him know his place is well and truly below us.....ahhh yeah, I think I just had Max Moseley moment.

But would we stand a chance of landing him? I think it would take a lot to get him away from der vaterland.
